@DBSgovuk had to be one of the most useless services ever. I’ve been waiting on a check since July 29th local police have held it since 31st July due to information request “have you lived at this address in the last 5 years?” It took them until two weeks ago to tell me this.
It is literally your job to do these things yet you’re letting applications pile up for what? What’s the point of having an escalation process if you don’t even get it sorted before the deadline given? @DBSgovuk @bedspolice

Australian rugby league player Jai Arrow had retired after being diagnosed with motor neurone disease, just two games short of 100 appearances for his club, South Sydney Rabbitohs.
His club secured special approval for him to start their final two regular-season matches, coming off after the opening seconds. Even the opposition clubs backed it.
And this is the moment he reached his 100th.
When you’ve spent years sharing a dressing room with the lads, walking out alongside them becomes something you almost take for granted. I can only imagine what it meant to Jai to pull that shirt on and join them again.
So pleased he got to have this moment with his club and his family.
