📢 Exciting News for ACTRA Toronto Members! 📢 We're thrilled to announce that ACTRA Members will now be back auditioning for and appearing in campaigns previously produced non-union by one of the largest ad agencies in the country. (ACTRA Members, please check your email for details!)🎉 This major milestone means that represents more work opportunities for our talented members, with the backing and protections provided under the union's collective agreement. The agency  works with some of Canada’s most iconic brands, and we’re excited for our members to get back to doing what they do best: bringing commercial scripts to life with the skill and passion that only ACTRA performers deliver. 💪🎬✨ We celebrate this expansion of work under the National Commercial Agreement and recognize the hard work and solidarity of ACTRA Toronto Members whose commitment—from boycotts to shining a national spotlight on replacement work—helped bring us to this point. Together, we’ve made it clear that union performers are irreplaceable. Stay tuned, and let’s continue to shape the future of the industry together! 🙌 #ACTRAToronto #UnionStrong #NCA #Commercials #SolidarityWins #MoreOpportunities #ACTRAatWork

The good fight to change the way the justice system views women in the finely acted, sharply written The Will of a Woman. Congrats to the team on a sold out run! Keep an eye out for a possible Fall remount. #FringeTO

Last night I experienced The Will of a Woman at @Toronto_Fringe. It is a fantastic show! An absolute MUST SEE! #FringeTO
July in Toronto is Fringe Festival. One of the plays, The Will of a Woman, tells the true story of Elizabeth Bethune Campbell, who in the 1920’s discovered that her mother's trust had fallen victim to money fraud.

REVIEW: A Christmas Carol at Three Ships Collective/Soup Can Theatre "This plucky, pleasant production of A Christmas Carol makes for a lovely evening at the theatre, regardless of the weather." Read the article: ow.ly/mcwn50M7KZP #theaTO #intermission #AChristmasCarol

Oh my God I want to see this production so badly ❤️
My boy is autistic and his drama group have adapted Twelfth Night to write a part for him where he runs on stage and interrupts the dialogue to reel off lists of facts about the play. Knowing loads of facts is his superpower. He loves his part. 👏👏

We made the decision to cancel the rest of our #ChristmasCarolTO shows and while that was a desperately hard choice, I think it’s the right one. Stay safe, loves. We’ll meet again.

9. A CHRISTMAS CAROL (@SoupCanTheatre, at @CampbellHouseTO). Last year's 4N site-specific show became a 5N one w/ an improved staging + SCT alum like @letwinka & H.M. Annis joining in. A perfect marriage of material and setting—crowding around Scrooge's four poster bed, e.g.

Men, I love you, I really do, but please talk to your boys because I shouldn’t be menaced twice in a night for no reason except stepping outside. The first time I was dressed as a child IN THE MIDDLE OF A PLAY, the second time I was in a lady coat and scarf. Either way, stop it.

Yep. I've been thinking about my top 10 plays of 2019 (an overdue #TheaTO thread is coming soon), and @SoupCanTheatre's #ChristmasCarolTO is definitely on it.
