I've seen a lot of talk about consensus boards in the draft this year.
I can tell you that I had multiple conversations after day two and then again after the draft was over with teams who thought it was the Wild West this year.
I think one of the things happening is that there are players going back to college now because of the money available that would have gone second through fourth round. With all of those players now out of the draft pool, there is extreme variance that is developing.
I would expect this to continue on to some degree, but this was also a really funky draft in terms of the board available to teams.

With Sam Hecht going off the board as well, the Ravens' center options are thinning:
Michigan State's Matt Gulbin
Indiana's Pat Coogan
Kentucky's Jager Burton
Maybe they'll consider converting a guard, but this is a very surprising approach.
The Browns select Alabama center Parker Brailsford with the 146th pick.

- 3-year starter, spent his last two seasons at Bama after starting at Washington
- 42 starts (40 at center, 2 at right guard)

Louisville WR Chris Bell, who was widely considered a top-20 pick before suffering an ACL injury in November, is progressing ahead of schedule and is now running and jumping.
Teams are intrigued by his unique skill set at 6’2.5”, 225 lbs, and in-game GPS tracked him at low 4.3 speed in full pads.
Bell already has visits scheduled with 13 teams (and has completed four) and is expected to be fully cleared by training camp, and chance of being first-round pick is still real.

Raiders have been on the other end of a Maxx Crosby type fiasco. In 2014, Raiders agreed to a 5-year, $42.5M deal with free-agent OL Rodger Saffold, but backed out after a failed physical (shoulder). Rams had no issues with RS’s shoulder & signed him. Saffold played for nearly a decade after that. #FreeAgency
