The scariest thing to those clinging to power is uncertainty.
Further AI development empowers everyone and this creates massive capability fluctuations and widespread outcome uncertainty.
The Stop-AI psy-op utilizes propped up, planned, and fake disasters to fuel AI doomer flames.
The goal is to connect current top AI leadership to government power and freeze out competitors from catching up, then using already developed capabilities to magnify existing centers of power while holding off the uncertain outcomes of further development that could empower human threats to existing power if not banned.
While philosophical predictions and plausible future AI capabilities could be developed soon as well, the current global regulations to restrict AI are almost entirely pushed for the purpose of protecting those with true power from their worst fear; uncertainty.

Nationalizing SpaceX would kill the company, erase America’s lead in space, and set a dangerous precedent for the entire industry. Anyone seriously pushing this is delusional.
So, some people reckon SpaceX should be Nationalized...
Let's consider the scenario and most likely outcome/s for this disaster-prone idea:
— SpaceX is not a private company anymore,
— $2 Trillion plus (for now) will have to be paid to shareholders, or it will be the single biggest Class Action Lawsuit in human history,
— Govt bureaucracy will infect the operations,
— Innovation will come to a halt,
— Cost to orbit will again go sky-high,
— It will become another Taxpayer's money pit,
— CHINA WILL WIN THE SPACE RACE
— Bye bye humanity becoming a space-faring civilization
We can literally go on and on...

Musk has done more to help Ukraine than every single pathetic fucking coward who blames him yet refuses to propose risking or sacrificing anything of their own to intervene in Ukraine, and let Putin just stroll right in under Biden's watch.

For the fools out there, Zelensky himself posted about using Starlink for offensive drone strikes, which has always been against Starlink’s terms of service:

Starshield is owned by the U.S. Government. Starlink is not approved for military weapons.
The fact that you’re a U.S. senator and didn’t know this is absolutely embarrassing.
Starlink/Starshield restrictions on Ukraine remain in place even after President Trump reportedly directed a resumption of full service.
SpaceX must restore full service immediately. And Congress must find new partners to ensure Elon Musk and SpaceX do not execute a veto over U.S. national security.

Starlink’s Acceptable Use Policy explicitly prohibits remotely controlling drones.
Zelensky himself acknowledged using Starlink for mid-range strikes.
Elon is right: Ukraine’s military violated those terms by using the Starlink system for offensive drone strikes.

For all you idiots claiming Ukraine wasn't using Starlink illegally, here is Zelenskyy admitting it:
We don’t use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered “shaheds” that attack our civilians and kill families.
Starlink wasn’t turned off – its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered “shaheds.” We couldn’t use a tool that helps protect people. That’s very painful and frustrating.
We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldn’t do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink.
Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes.

The central point is that Ukraine exploited a loophole in Starlink to make its attack drones appear stationary. This guy deliberately leaves that part out and instead throws around technical sounding claims, counting on people to be so driven by emotions that they fail to exercise basic reading comprehension. Unfortunately, the views and retweets suggest his deception is working.
Elon Musk claims that Ukraine allegedly violated Starlink's terms of use and used the system on combat drones.
As someone who was inside the process at the Ministry of Defense, I can say with certainty that this is not true.
In February of this year, whitelists were introduced. Stationary terminals could be registered by both military personnel and civilians.
But for any satellite terminal to work while on the move, it had to be added to a special list and connected to the military Starshield system. Otherwise, no satellite communication terminals in Ukraine would work.
In other words, using civilian Starlink for drone missions was technically impossible. All drone missions that required satellite communication could only be carried out using Starshield.
We are very grateful to the United States and SpaceX for access to critically important satellite communications. Ukraine did not violate the terms of use.
Yep.
The people who study what's happening understand the situation, those who simply respond to headlines are being manipulated by lying politicians and propagandists.

.@Starlink has had the SAME terms of use since the beginning. Not one of the elected officials currently speaking out against the Russia-Ukraine peace deal or Starlink EVER bothered to pursue peace. They only wanted more war… and they sent billions. Then those billions came right back into Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election and the Democrat National Committee. ODNI Gabbard declassified that information.

What appears to be happening: Starshield is under the direct control of the White House via the DoW and Space Force, and Zelensky wants to use it against targets the U.S. will not allow. So Ukraine tried to use civilian Starlink for offensive drone strikes instead. @elonmusk and @SpaceX still answer to U.S. law and blocked Starlink's use as an offensive weapons guidance system. Either way, POTUS controls all U.S. military systems in that theater and has final say. If Zelensky wants to use Starshield for those strikes, he needs to convince POTUS—not Elon Musk, who isn't legally allowed to authorize it.
Correct.
Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be.
Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them.
Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.
Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.
Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia.
SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR.
That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell.
End of story.
Replying to @FilmLadd
This is indeed one of the main reasons that Starlink must remain a civilian operation.
It can be used for infrastructure that is military, but it cannot be used for unequivocally offensive strikes that make it fair game to be struck back.
An adversary blowing up Starlink satellites would create a domino effect of destruction that would generate a vast field of debris making space unusable.
Love the energy. Fuck these 'people'.

Yeah, this retard is so fucking dumb that he doesn’t realize that our policies serve the Ukrainian people.
Pieces of shit like this want the war to continue until every last man in Ukraine has died in a ditch.
They are utter scum of the Earth.
Absolutely.
The useless just want to take from others and destroy the useful and successful to make themselves more comfortable with their inferiority.
This is one of the dumbest things I’ve read this year, for a large number of reasons.
First almost no one wanted to help @elonmusk build it. Then they laughed when he did and predicted failure. This was probable but on the verge they succeeded. Space Exploration Technologies Corp. @SpaceX is now saving the government billions and expanding humanity to be a greater civilization.
Governments and the usual red tape and corruption that comes with them, have no business controlling it more than current regulations do.
Screw this piece!
