I've known @jamestalarico for nearly 20 years. When we were at @UTAustin in 2009, he ran the University Democrats and I ran the College Republicans. Although we disagreed, I once considered him a friend. But then he betrayed the entire student body for his own political gain.🧵

I bucked all advice from my friends (and resisted my conservative bias) and decided to fully trust the Times journalists. As they left my home they asked that I not talk to any other outlets and I insisted then and repeatedly over the following weeks that I would keep my word and only share this story with them. But then the weeks dragged on. They kept coming back to us saying the editors needed more. I needed to go on the record (okay). We need more screenshots (okay). I met every bench mark they set, eager to provide more sources or evidence as needed. After the story went up I began to ask them … wait, where are the stories from the other women? Where are their accusations of sexual assault? Why am I the focus? Why are there 11 paragraphs dedicated to detailing my work history (more than has been published about Graham’s by far)? Why does it say “nobody could corroborate” when I offered them sources that COULD corroborate? Why did they include an out of context quote from a friend joking “do not call Graham” after I called off my wedding? (Because she knew I would never). Where were the screenshots they’d said they would use? Or the mention that I’d supported local democrats and that most of my family (and husband) are liberal? The editors said it was too much, they explained. The Times also failed to include any mention that I DID confide in multiple friends through the years that Graham had been abusive — long before he was running for office. Those friends confirm they told the Times so. It dawned on me that this really was a set up all along. The journalists I trusted who convinced me to share a story I never wanted to tell methodically delayed and twisted this into a gift to the Platner campaign. Violating the trust of his victims. Shattering the trust I placed in them with the most vulnerable story of my life. And at the end of my call with them I reluctantly accepted their insistence that this was still a powerful story and that I had done a brave thing. And I thanked them for all the hard work they had put into it. Still fawning after all these years.

For shits and giggles, I decided to see just how hard it would be to replace my birth certificate, Social Security card, AND my marriage license, since Democrats think women are too stupid to figure it out. Here's how it went: 1. Birth certificate: Contacted the health department of the county where I was born. They OVERNIGHTED a certified copy to me the next day - total cost, $14. 2. SS Card: Contacted Social Security on their site. They asked if I was sure I needed the card, since I 'won't likely be asked for it.' I went ahead and got it - took five business days to arrive - total cost, $0. 3. Marriage License: Went to the 'vital docs' site of the county where we were hitched. Filled everything out online, arrived in three days - total cost, $5. It cost less than $20 to obtain all three certified/legal documents, and it took less than five business days to receive them. Note: if I had lived where I was born or married, it would have been a day. Tops. Anyone telling you this is too hard or unfair is lying and hiding the real reason they want to stop Voter ID. I know you guys knew that already... lol

To my leftist friends: I do not care that a leftist agitator got himself killed because he decided to arm himself with a gun and venture out to resist ICE, nor the other one who sped her car at an ICE agent while fleeing arrest, nor do I care about the little kid who was detained with his illegal alien father. And neither do you, because all you care about are turning people-- whose deaths never would have happened if you people didn't have a psychopathic opposition to lawful immigration enforcement-- into martyrs who can be used to justify ending deportations, which you want because it's the biggest threat to Democratic political power. What I do care about is the fact that there are millions of illegal aliens that have invaded my country. Your party are the ones who spent the previous 4 years importing as many of them into America as possible-- allowing millions of foreign military-aged men to cross the southern border and resettling them all around the country with our tax dollars. You didn't give a crap about the thousands of unaccompanied children that smugglers dropped off at the border-- nor the thousands that went missing-- in one of the biggest child trafficking operations in the world that happened because of your party. You didn't care about real victims like Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, and Rachel Morin-- not agitators trying to obstruct law enforcement-- but innocent people who were minding their own business when they were brutally murdered by criminal illegal aliens that Biden released into the country. But you people have decided that it's imperative that these illegals be able to stay. That somebody fresh over the border from Honduras is just as American as the rest of us. That somebody with such disrespect for our country that their first contribution to it was breaking our immigration laws should be given the same rights as every American. That they should be allowed to continue stealing jobs, driving up housing costs, and mooching off American taxpayers. And you want this for one reason and one reason only: Because it's the only way you can continue winning elections. You don't actually care about any of these people. You just want to give them citizenship so they can vote for Democrats and count them in the census so that blue states have more electoral votes than they deserve. All you want is to import as many foreigners as possible and give them a stake in the political future of our country so that Democrats can rule forever without the consent from actual Americans who you couldn't give two craps about. And you of course don't actually want to deal with the consequences of mass immigration. The places you live are not the ones where massive demographic changes have happened almost overnight. You'll continue living in your majority-white affluent communities while working class Americans deal with the influx of your new class of voters. And now, you are have decided that burning down the entire country is worth it if it means your precious illegal aliens get to stay. Your politicians are the ones have actively encouraged the riots in places like Minneapolis and radicalized people into thinking they have a right to obstruct lawful immigration enforcement. Renee good and Alex Pretti are dead because of you. I, along with 77 million other Americans, voted for a government that promised mass deportations. And that doesn't mean just gang members and criminals. It means every single person who crossed the border illegally or has overstayed their visa. It doesn't matter if they're a murderer or uber eats driver. We voted to get rid of them all because America is a sovereign nation that has the right to deport people with no right to be here in the first place. So no, I simply do not care about any of the sob stories that you manufacture on a daily basis to emotionally manipulate people against lawful enforcement of our immigration laws. I don't care if federal agents wearing masks triggers you, I don't care about your tug-at-the-heartstrings propaganda, and I especially don't care that your illegal alien "neighbors" feel scared. We're sick of being told we're bad people for objecting to the hordes of third-world illegals that you brought here without our consent. The moment you decide that Americans matter more to you than protecting illegals is the moment the chaos and death comes to an end. But you won't because all you are useful idiots for a machine that seeks to make Americans poor and miserable in the country their ancestors built.

Yes they’re mad that their political team is being exposed and that a protected immigrant group is being investigated. Yes they’re mad about questions on the nexus of mass immigration, corruption and power. But what REALLY angers legacy ‘news’ machine? A number: 131 MILLION Even though they’d be loathe to admit it, this number punches a hole in their inflated, well-funded, collective media ego — and has them frothing with rage. That number — which doesn’t even count the millions more views of various clips shared by other 𝕏 accounts or views on other platforms — humiliates them, and calls into question everything they believe about themselves as the True and Rightful Guardians of Democracy™️. They are enraged that a guy armed with a phone, a hoodie and some initiative could possibly do *this* to them. What would it take for corporate, leftwing “news” entities — and their vast resources — to amass 131 million views? MSNOW averages 923,000 total viewers in primetime per night. It would take 142 full nights of programming to match the views that Nick Shirley got on his 42 minute report. CNN? Even worse. They average 580,000 viewers in primetime per night. They’d need 225 nights. This would help explain the vitriol being spewed against Shirley over the last two days by these two propaganda press outlets: When you can’t win the information war, attack the messenger. How about the broadcast networks, and their nightly news programs? NBC Nightly News averages 6 million total viewers per night. It would take them 21 shows and all of the resources required to produce them in order to match Shirley’s accumulated views. CBS Evening News averages 4 million per night. They’d need 32 shows. You get the point. They’ve got a lot to be angry about. But nothing makes them more enraged than this: 131 MILLION

The U.S. Somali refugee program did not begin with a vote, a referendum, or even a dedicated bill in Congress. Most Americans have no idea how it actually started. Here’s the real story: Under the Refugee Act of 1980 (passed by Congress and signed by Jimmy Carter), the president alone gets to decide every year how many refugees America takes and from which countries. No new law required, no public vote, no ballot measure. George H.W. Bush used that authority in Fiscal Years 1992 and 1993 to open a small Priority-2 category for Somalis “of special humanitarian concern.” The first arrivals (a few hundred) came in 1992–1993, right at the tail end of his presidency. Almost nobody in America noticed. Then the numbers grew quietly under Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama, Trump (who slowed but never stopped it), and Biden: - 1990–1994: ~4,000 - 1995–2005: ~45,000 - 2006–2016: ~70,000 - 2017–2024: another ~60,000+ Official refugee total since 1990: ≈ 180,000+ But that’s only the beginning. Chain migration (family reunification) exploded the real number. Once a refugee is resettled, they can petition for: - Spouses & minor children (immediate family – no numerical limit) - Parents (again, no numerical limit) - Adult sons/daughters, siblings (subject to quotas but still massive over time) Because Somali families are large and the 1980 Act + later laws (IMMACT 90, etc.) are extremely generous with derivative family, the actual ethnic Somali population in the United States is now estimated between 450,000 and 700,000 (State Department, Census ACS, Migration Policy Institute, and Somali community estimates all put it in that range). The most commonly cited academic/community figure today is ≈ 500,000–550,000 Somali-Americans, meaning chain migration multiplied the original refugee number by roughly 3×. Largest concentrations: - Minneapolis–St. Paul: 100,000–150,000 - Columbus, Ohio: 70,000–100,000 - Seattle area: 40,000–60,000 - San Diego, Nashville, Lewiston (ME), and dozens of other cities now have five- and six-figure Somali neighborhoods. All of this happened without a single national vote, referendum, or specific congressional act aimed at Somalis. Congress handed the keys to the executive branch in 1980, and every administration since — Republican and Democrat — has kept the door open and the chain-migration pipeline flowing. That’s how half a million people from one of the most clan-divided, war-torn nations on earth ended up reshaping entire American cities — quietly, legally, and with essentially zero direct democratic input.

I’d like to ask my non-conservative followers to pay attention here for a moment. I don’t need a response or a rebuttal or a ‘whatabout.’ Just read on and consider what I’m saying. Please. We are only a few weeks removed from a leading conservative figure being shot in the throat and killed by a leftist, for and during his speech, at a public speaking event. Stunning, jarring numbers of leftist Americans justified or celebrated this assassination, aligning with multiple public polls showing that a sizable minority of leftists in this country think political violence can be acceptable. Today — just today — many conservatives are thinking about: (1) a major leftist statewide candidate being exposed for sending texts to a political opponent (R) explicitly hoping for the death of another conservative political opponent…along with the deaths of that opponents’ young children. He WROTE DOWN that the pain of those deaths might promote his own agenda, which would be worth it, in his estimation. This candidate is now condemning his current conservative opponent for noticing this information. And also (2) a development in the case of a leftist would-be assassin of a conservative Supreme Court Justice, who traveled across the country, heavily armed, with the stated intent of murdering up to three right-leaning Justices because he was angry about their abortion jurisprudence. The leftist judge in the case rejected prosecutors’ request for a multi-decade sentence, giving the defense team the very lenient sentence they’d sought. The leftist judge, in her reasoning, cited the criminal’s trans identity as a factor & expressed happiness that the assassination plot and its aftermath helped with the criminal’s family therapy around the trans issue. And also (3) yet another violent leftist attack — this time an apparent ambush — against federal immigration officers. This did not take place in Dallas, where a leftist sniper very recently went on a deadly spree while trying to murder as many ICE officers as possible. This one happened in Illinois, where the leftist governor just called these officers “jack booted thugs.” Violent attacks on these federal agents (thugs, fascists, gestapo, per various leading leftist politicians) are up approximately *one thousand percent,* per DHS. And also (4) a prominent university being pressured into reversing its attempt to shut down a conservative event commemorating the second anniversary of the Oct 7 terrorist massacre of Jews — because, the school said, they were worried about the security situation around the event. They were referring, of course, to the violent Islamist-Leftist coalition pro-Hamas mob, which has engaged in harassment, threats, violence and murder ever since that mass slaughter. AND YET, we see many of our leftist friends tweeting and posting about how *their opponents* are the “dangerous” and “authoritarian” “fascists.” I ask you to try to contemplate, even for a quiet moment or two, how this might strike many of us. That’s all for now. Thank you.

JD Vance goes scorched earth on people celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk, says there can be no unity with these sick people. "There is no unity with people who scream at children over their parents' politics." "There is no unity with someone who lies about what Charlie Kirk said in order to excuse his murder." "There is no unity with someone who harasses an innocent family the day after the father of that family lost a dear friend." "There is no unity with the people who celebrate Charlie Kirk's assassination." "There is no unity with the people who fund these articles, who pay the salaries of these terrorist sympathizers, who argue that Charlie Kirk, a loving husband and father, deserved a shot to the neck because he spoke words with which they disagree." 🔥🔥

(Warning: long rant) My liberal friends are completely oblivious about how radicalizing the last week has been for tens of millions of normal Americans. Zero clue. I’m not talking about people who are “online”; I mean regular, everyday Americans. “Normies.” People who scroll through Facebook posts and Instagram reels from the Dutch Bros drive thru line. Political moderates who have water cooler chats about Mahomes touchdowns and Bon Jovi concerts, not Twitter threads or Rachel Maddow monologues. Millions of them. Tens of millions. They’re logging on, they’re engaging, and they’re furious. And I’ll be candid: They blame you guys. They blame the left. Regardless of whether you believe it to be justified, they think you’re the bad guys here. And they are reacting accordingly. I can already hear some of you racing toward the comments to start screeching in moral indignation, so I’m going to be blunt: Shut up and listen to what I’m telling you. Your movement will lose any semblance of relevance if you don’t develop some small measure of self-awareness, and—absent someone force-feeding you bitter medicine—you guys collectively lack the humility to do this on your own. Here are the facts: Fact 1. Tens of millions of Americans started the week seeing a 23-year-old blonde woman—a young woman in whom virtually every parent watching pictured their own daughter—stabbed in the neck by a career criminal. These people then found out the murderer had been released from jail 14 times over. Fact 2. Two days later, tens of millions of Americans watched a video of Charlie Kirk get murdered speaking to college students. Millions of these people knew who Charlie was; millions of them didn’t. Upon seeing the video, however, these normal Americans from across the land and across the political spectrum agreed that he was the victim of a terrible, fundamentally unjustifiable crime, and their hearts broke in sympathy for his family. Good people who had never even heard the name Charlie Kirk before wept. Fact 3. Immediately after seeing the footage of a peaceful young man get shot in the neck, these same people logged onto Facebook and Instagram (remember, we are talking about regular Americans, not perpetually online Twitter or Bluesky users) and saw some of their local nurses, school teachers, college administrators, and retail workers celebrating this horrific crime. Not just defending it, but cheering it. These are all facts. You may not like the implications of these facts, and we can certainly debate the underlying causes thereof, but, indisputably, they are nevertheless factual statements. Here’s what it means for you, the Democrats reading this: These normal, middle-of-the-road, non-political citizens just become politically active. They realized that politics cares about them, even if they don’t particularly care about politics. After watching Iryna Zarutska and Charlie Kirk both bleed out from the neck, they think their lives and the physical safety of their families—the bedrock of human society, the foundation of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs—depend on political activation, whether they desire it or not. These people are now sprinting—not jogging, not walking, but racing—to the right. Because they blame you guys for everything that just happened. When they see footage of Decarlos Brown stabbing a Ukrainian refugee to death, they don’t see just one demon-possessed man. They picture every university administrator, HR bureaucrat, and DEI apparatchik that ever lectured them about systemic racism, the “carceral state,” or the need to release violent crime suspects without bail in the name of social justice. They then think back to conversations they’ve had with their cop friends—their buddy from high school who quit the force after getting tired of being called a racist, their friend at the local YMCA who vents about having to release career criminals because Soros-funded prosecutors aren’t willing to file charges—and they realize everything the left has told them over the last five years has been utter bullshit. And they blame you. Because, even if you count yourself as a moderate Democrat, your party supported the district attorneys, city council members, and mayors that let fictitious concerns about mental health and racial justice supersede very real concerns for their family’s safety. When these Americans see blood erupt from the side of Charlie Kirk’s neck, they don’t see just a martyred political activist. They think of every extreme leftist they’ve ever met who (1) calls anyone to the right of Hillary Clinton a fascist and (2) constantly jokes—“jokes”—about punching Nazis and “bashing the fash.” They realize that there really do exist people who wish to see them dead for their moderately conservative political beliefs, their Christian faith, and even the color of their skin. They ask themselves if the violence visited upon Charlie might one day show up on their own doorstep. And they blame you. Because, even if you’re just a center-of-the-road liberal, you lacked the courage to police your own ranks. You let modern-day Maoist red guards run loose across every facet of society, and what started with social-media struggle sessions has now turned to 30-06 bullet holes. When these Americans log onto social media and see their neighbors justifying, celebrating, glorifying murder, they realize that some who walk among them are soulless ghouls at best, literally demon-possessed at worst. These people—whether they faithfully attend church every Sunday or only attend with relatives once a year, on Christmas Eve—start talking about things like spiritual warfare. They implicitly understand that no normal human casually celebrates the mortal demise of a peaceful person. And they blame you. Because, even if you condemned Charlie Kirk’s murder, they probably haven’t seen you condemn those in your own movement who cheered it on. They view you as complicit in allowing heartless fellow travelers to celebrate death, and it repulses them. For all of these situations, what has your response been? Nothing but bullshit. In response to Iryna Zarutska bleeding out on the floor of a train, you post bullshit statistics about reductions in reported crime, when everyone who’s ever been to a major urban center in the last decade knows that actual crime has skyrocketed, only for victims not to waste their time reporting it to cops that don’t have the manpower to respond and prosecutors that seek to downgrade as many felonies as possible to misdemeanor citations. In response to a 31-year-old man taking a bullet to the neck in front of his family, you post nothing but bullshit whataboutism. > “What about January 6th?” (Honest answer: After you let Liz Cheney spend two years operating a star chamber in the House, combined with countless other failed attempts at “lawfare” against Trump, no one cares anymore.) > “What about Mike Lee making a dumb joke on Twitter about some guy in a mask in Minnesota?” (No one outside of Utah, DC, or Twitter knows who Mike Lee even is.) > “What about Paul Pelosi?” (That’s not comparable to Charlie Kirk getting shot, and we all know it. And, again, Paul who?) > “What about regulations on assault rifles?” (That’s not going to get you very far when one of these killers used a knife and the other one used a common hunting rifle.) In response to teachers, healthcare workers, and thousands of other liberals cheering on Charlie’s murder, it’s nothing but more bullshit and misdirection. > “It’s not THAT many people celebrating!” (Yes, it is. Everyone has seen it on their Facebook and Instagram feeds.) > “I thought you guys didn’t support cancel culture.” (We don’t cancel people over their opinions; we’re more than happy to see people lose their jobs—especially their taxpayer-funded jobs—for actively cheering on murder, though. If you can’t see the difference, that’s your own shortcoming.) All bullshit. Not even smart bullshit, but stale, mid-grade, low-IQ bullshit. Ordinary Americans see right through it, and they don’t like how it smells. You probably don’t like hearing this. But you need to hear it. Because I’m right, and, as you reflect on this, you know I’m right. The ranks of my political movement gained millions of righteously angry new members this week. We have a mandate to ensure these crimes never happen again, and that’s exactly what we are now going to do. If you want to keep a seat at the table as we do so, you’d better clean house and start policing your own.

A while ago, probably in 2017, I appeared on Tucker Carlson's Fox show to talk about God knows what. Afterwards a name I barely knew sent me a DM on twitter and told me I did a great job. It was Charlie Kirk, and that moment of kindness began a friendship that lasted until today. Charlie was fascinated by ideas and always willing to learn and change his mind. Like me, he was skeptical of Donald Trump in 2016. Like me, he came to see President Trump as the only figure capable of moving American politics away from the globalism that had dominated for our entire lives. When others were right, he learned from them. When he was right--as he usually was--he was generous. With Charlie, the attitude was never, "I told you so." But: "welcome." Charlie was one of the first people I called when I thought about running for senate in early 2021. I was interested but skeptical there was a pathway. We talked through everything, from the strategy to the fundraising to the grassroots of the movement he knew so well. He introduced me to some of the people who would run my campaign and also to Donald Trump Jr. "Like his dad, he's misunderstood. He's extremely smart, and very much on our wavelength." Don took a call from me because Charlie asked him too. Long before I ever committed (even in my mind) to running, Charlie had me speak to his donors at a TPUSA event. He walked me around the room and introduced me. He gave me honest feedback on my remarks. He had no reason to do this, no expectation that I'd go anywhere. I was polling, at that point, well below 5 percent. He did it because we were friends, and because he was a good man. When I became the VP nominee--something Charlie advocated for both in public and private--Charlie was there for me. I was so glad to be part of the president's team, but candidly surprised by the effect it had on our family. Our kids, especially our oldest, struggled with the attention and the constant presence of the protective detail. I felt this acute sense of guilt, that I had conscripted my kids into this life without getting their permission. And Charlie was constantly calling and texting, checking on our family and offering guidance and prayers. Some of our most successful events were organized not by the campaign, but by TPUSA. He wasn't just a thinker, he was a doer, turning big ideas into bigger events with thousands of activists. And after every event, he would give me a big hug, tell me he was praying for me, and ask me what he could do. "You focus on Wisconsin," he'd tell me. "Arizona is in the bag." And it was. Charlie genuinely believed in and loved Jesus Christ. He had a profound faith. We used to argue about Catholicism and Protestantism and who was right about minor doctrinal questions. Because he loved God, he wanted to understand him. Someone else pointed out that Charlie died doing what he loved: discussing ideas. He would go into these hostile crowds and answer their questions. If it was a friendly crowd, and a progressive asked a question to jeers from the audience, he'd encourage his fans to calm down and let everyone speak. He exemplified a foundational virtue of our Republic: the willingness to speak openly and debate ideas. Charlie had an uncanny ability to know when to push the envelope and when to be more conventional. I've seen people attack him for years for being wrong on this or that issue publicly, never realizing that privately he was working to broaden the scope of acceptable debate. He was a great family man. I was talking to President Trump in the Oval Office today, and he said, "I know he was a very good friend of yours." I nodded silently, and President Trump observed that Charlie really loved his family. The president was right. Charlie was so proud of Erika and the two kids. He was so happy to be a father. And he felt such gratitude for having found a woman of God with whom he could build a family. Charlie Kirk was a true friend. The kind of guy you could say something to and know it would always stay with him. I am on more than a few group chats with Charlie and people he introduced me to over the years. We celebrate weddings and babies, bust each other's chops, and mourn the loss of loved ones. We talk about politics and policy and sports and life. These group chats include people at the very highest level of our government. They trusted him, loved him, and knew he'd always have their backs. And because he was a true friend ,you could instinctively trust the people Charlie introduced you to. So much of the success we've had in this administration traces directly to Charlie's ability to organize and convene. He didn't just help us win in 2024, he helped us staff the entire government. I was in a meeting in the West Wing when those group chats started lighting up with people telling Charlie they were praying for him. And that's how I learned the news that my friend had been shot. I prayed a lot over the next hour, as first good news and then bad trickled in. God didn't answer those prayers, and that's OK. He had other plans. And now that Charlie is in heaven, I'll ask him to talk to big man directly on behalf of his family, his friends, and the country he loved so dearly. You ran a good race, my friend. We've got it from here.

I am so sick and tired of Democrats claiming there is no “there” there with respect to Russiagate. If you are such a Democrat, please take the following quiz (and if you have friends or family who are Democrats, please share): 1. Was the "Steele Dossier” a fabrication designed to smear Donald Trump? Yes or no please. 2. Did the original draft of the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (the “ICA”) state that Russia did not seek to assist Donald Trump in the 2016 election? Yes or no please. 3. Did Barack Obama then direct, using non-standard procedures that cut out the usual intelligence experts at the ground floor who make such assessments, that the ICA be changed to state that Russia DID seek to assist Donald Trump in the 2016 election? Yes or no please. 4. Were the Steele Dossier and the modified ICA used to obtain numerous search warrants against Trump’s inner circle? Yes or no please. 5. Were the Steele Dossier and the modified ICA used as the bases for initiating the Mueller Investigation? Yes or no please. 6. Did all of the above (i) cause much of the general public to believe the first Trump Presidency was illegitimate and (ii) greatly reduce the first Trump Administration’s ability to enact the agenda that the Constitutional will of the American electorate elected him to achieve? Yes or no please, on both counts. _____________________________ Finished? Did you answer “no” to any of these question? If so, you have been brainwashed by your media sources. A simple review of the materials recently declassified by DNI Gabbard, coupled with general knowledge of the political climate since 2016, will reveal that all of the above questions can only be answered “yes.” Go review those materials and then re-take the quiz. And if you DID answer “yes” to all questions above, how can you deny that Russiagate constitutes the worst series of political crimes in US history? And if you do deny that, how can you look at yourself in the mirror?
