That price seems like great news for Howie Roseman. Strengthens what the #Eagles could get for Moro Ojomo, who isn't under contract like Simmons but is younger. I'd have guessed they could get a third-round pick for Ojomo, this Simmons deal makes that seem even more likely.
Again, the final terms ... Bears get: DT Jeffery Simmons, 2028 fifth-round pick. Titans get: 2027 first-round pick, 2028 first-round pick, 2027 fourth-round pick. When I did my All-Pro calls last year, there was no more resounding first-teamer with coaches/execs than Simmons.

This is the first time any of these young players have had to deal with adversity. Came from winning college programmes in the main. Time to strap on the big boy pants, this is the NFL.
Cooper DeJean gave an honest answer about how challenging it's been for him to bounce back from bad plays during this #Eagles losing streak last night. Here's the full quote, which I'd argue paints the picture of a player struggling with confidence at the moment: "It's been tough, to be honest. With the success that we've had the last couple years, it's been tough to lose games, even lose snaps out there on defense." "Not to look at the past, but we made a lot of plays the last couple years. There's been plays that we've made that we haven't made this season. You have to find a way to get past that, though, and learn from it. But I'd be lying if I said it's easy to just move on from those plays. You get beat, you mess up a fit, whatever it is. It's tough to move on from that. But that's the mindset you have to have in this league."

Whether this is the right decision or the wrong decision, what qualifications does Ratcliffe even have to make it? None. Zilch. Zip. Rien de rien. Fuck all. Just because he's a rich cunt doesn't mean he knows anything about football at all. In fact the last three years demonstrates that he doesn't. And if he's making a football decision based on the compensation costs to fire, hire, and remake a squad yet again ... it's guaranteed to fail. Michael Carrick needs to turn himself into the reincarnation of Fergie to survive this lot. That seems unlikely.
Understand one of the main reasons #MUFC have decided to keep Michael Carrick is due to financial reasons. Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the final decision after talks involving Glazers, Berrada & Wilcox. Carrick could have #CFC, #Roma & #AVFC games. @UtdDistrict roundtable.io/sports/soccer/…

The Eagles have made the postseason in 20 of 32 seasons with Jeffrey Lurie as owner. They've won two Super Bowls, reached two more. It's become one of the NFL's top franchises during that period — a perception that's different from before his ownership. This year has been ugly — and the past week has left unanswered questions — but that shouldn't change the way Jeffrey Lurie is received at halftime tonight. (With that said, it might help him if the Eagles can build a halftime lead...)

Since 2005 Premier League clubs have had a total interest cost on borrowings and financial debt of £3.5bn. One club and one set of owners is responsible for 35% of the total. #Glazernomics Figures per @valuball

A blood-letting of unprecedented scale in the Stretford End in that second-half. “Sell United and fuck off home.” “You can stick your new stadium up your arse.” Bonfire chant for Glazers + Jim Ratcliffe. Jason Wilcox also a target. Players booed. #MUFC

"Sell United and f*k off home" sing MUFC fans, the only good thing about the club right now. And it's right. The Glazers have made their money many times over for 21 years. Fans never wanted it and that takeover should never have been allowed. Do the right thing: sell up and go.

Really don’t know where you go with that from Martinez and Fernandes. A strong club doesn’t play them again. We all sort of applauded Martinez’s statement but what Fernandes did in throwing a manager under the bus is unbelievable.
