For the first time in years, I have published #NYR prospect rankings. Take a look at my top-20 list, with in-depth scouting reports and a few comments from NHL Scouts.

Second game in a row where the NYR top-six is fantastic and the third line is killing them. They need more from Noah Laba. He is capable but it's not happening.
It's basically a half-season's worth of games that Alexis Lafreniére has been at a point-per-game pace. Dating back to the Panarin trade.
People think the GM's job is to decide who is a good hockey player or not (it is to an extent) when really their job is to manage a bureaucracy filled with game theory. That's why Eric Tulsky won a Cup and (Insert Hockey Guy Here) destroyed a team.
So, to rewind a bit…
Utah needs a #1 goalie
Utah has lots of picks & prospects
Utah has a young, two-way, Canadian born centre off to a strong start who the Jets would surely covet (Barrett Hayton)
But Utah is blocked from trading him because he was offer sheeted by….
Kartye throwing his hands up instead of playing is a killer right there. Brutal. Not good in any situation but especially awful in context of the moment.
Non-contact injury for Linus Ullmark tonight in Ottawa. Has potential downstream consequences for the Rangers in terms of the goaltending market.

My most boomer take is that we are oversaturated with "welcome back" videos. That used to be a rare moment for franchise icons and legends. Brady Tkachuk didn't accomplish anything in Ottawa and then forced his way out mid-contract. Let the fans boo without the contrived video.
“All eyes on Ottawa that day. Everybody’s watching that game.”
@JeffMarek & @localpodcaster discuss what Brady Tkachuk’s highly anticipated return to Ottawa could look like on October 21.

Two Sens fans I just met at a bar downtown, tonight is gonna be a fucking movie.

Very cool that Brady Tkachuk got extremely mad at the media for speculating about him going to Florida because he sat on a podcast while his brother openly recruited him only for that to happen exactly as anticipated.
A pathetic, gutless organization. Going, "hey can you stop? No worries if not, sorry for interrupting" every time a powerful person invokes blatant antisemitism.
Gotta save the big ammunition for the real threat: college sophomores who say something moronic in a book club.
The term “Shylock” is rooted in a longstanding antisemitic stereotype. Regardless of intent, its use can reinforce harmful tropes about Jews and normalize language that has long been used to target the Jewish community.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Trump used “Shylock” at a Kansas rally Oct. 19 defending Sen. Marshall. ADL’s post omits naming him, unlike its 2025 statement.

I think we're all still trying to figure out the ceiling for Alexis Lafreniére (All-Star? PPG player?), but we can all agree now that the floor is first-line winger, right?
How do you tweet this out without any sort of moment where you say, "wait, what am I doing?"
