Didn’t get enough rain…??
It’s true - a few days of the nice weather and everyone’s spirit is lifted!!
However, a few localized dry areas and turf repairs require a little moisture to help aid recovery. This IBC is the ideal unit to water our Old Course during periods of need.
Vitally important to complete this exercise when mowing greens.
Knowing the volume of clippings collected helps to plan operations and inputs required to aid surface performance.
Our Old Course tees undergoing some preseason reshaping.
We have adjusted each tee, restoring the desired square tee design feature.
Great days training - having @tcsturfequip on site to discuss cutting units is a real eye opener
The team learnt so much in just 1 day
Plenty of adjustments made to help improve playing surfaces and machinery efficiency
Not going to see the team now until after Easter…
A small appreciation post for them…but in reality give them what everyone wants this time of year…chocolate!!
It is true…I couldn’t do it without them
We say goodbye to Will Harris
Our Workshop Manager for 40 years, an excellent team member to have worked with
Committed to his trade with knowledge and skills like no other
This isn’t a final goodbye - Will is to continue as an advisor to help further develop his successor

We have a few team spaces left in our first Open Competition of the year. Why not join us at our beautiful Old Course for our Spring Am Am. Online entries available minchinhamptongolfclub.co.uk…
Unfortunately 2 days have passed with little activity on the golf courses
Maybe a blessing, this may give our Old Course time to rest following renovations
However - we welcome local contractor on site to commence hedge cutting. Hard standing tracks only this year though
