About MCP and WebMCP
MCP lives on a Server 🗄️
Any agent can call it, with its own credentials, for as long as the server is up. Best for background work and data access.
WebMCP lives in the Page 📄
It runs in the visitor’s session, only while that page is open. Best for actions that already belong on your site.
If the work must happen without a browser open, use MCP.
If it’s something the user is already doing on your site, use WebMCP.

We identified a security incident affecting a modified Claude Code VS Code extension accessed through our Cursor IDE extension marketplace, impacting at most 5,000 users. This malicious version of the extension was not developed by Anthropic. It does not impact other extensions downloaded from the cursor.com/marketplace, Grok Bot, Grok or our other SpaceXSI products.
In response, we took down our extension marketplace this afternoon, worked with relevant providers to neutralize the malware, and have reinstated the marketplace after confirming there is no further risk.
If affected, please review instructions in this blog post to understand how to find the malicious package and establish a path to mitigate any potential impact. We are asking all customers update to Claude Code for VS Code version 2.1.314: cursor.com/blog/claude-code-…

Something that the world is quickly learning in the age of AI:
If something can be hacked, it will be hacked.
This week has been a prime example of this.
Security has never been more crucial than it is now
Please, Stay Safe Out There. #Adapters 🦖

Replying to @supabase
@supabase Compute is cool but does it run Doom?
... and why not add a Realtime scoreboard, players signed in with Auth, and replays saved in Storage.

More stuff → Supa Compute
• Run long-lived services and agents in any language
• Full Linux environment with configurable CPU & memory
• Public HTTP services or private background workers
• Deploy via CLI/API and manage config in code
• Built-in logs, metrics, scaling, and agent skills
Supabase just made Agents live next to your Data ⚡️
Compute (private alpha) lets you run long-running agents, jobs, and APIs inside the same project as Postgres. No second platform. No extra latency tax 📟
For anyone building AI-powered systems, this removes one of the most common friction points:
Keeping the Agent and the Database in Two Different Places 🦾
Cleaner Architecture.
Faster Loops.
Fewer Moving Parts.

Introducing Supabase Compute, in private alpha.
You don’t need a second platform for your agents and long-running jobs. Run them in your Supabase project, next to your data in Postgres.

We just received the Blue Checkmark!
Thank you to the 2,000+ Adapters who have joined us so far.
This is a meaningful step as we keep building New Communication Waves.

The kind of Communication Wave we like to Amplify 👾
@mrdoob just dropped a fully procedural New York simulation built by burning a bunch of tokens 🏙️
784 KB gzipped. Fully open. Already has vehicles, ambience, gamepad support + local state 🦾
Check it out and enjoy the ride #Adapters 🦖

An agent that breaks something isn't broken. It's doing exactly what it was built to do, just not what you intended.
