How I’d rebuild an edge in prediction markets from zero: 84% of Polymarket traders lose money. The part that should stop you cold: retail traders pick the right side more often, and still lose money. Because they enter late, at bad prices. And the market is not small anymore. Polymarket did $26 billion in Q1 alone. Bernstein thinks the category hits $1 trillion by 2030. So if I started over tomorrow, here’s the exact playbook: • Pick one category. Politics, sports, or crypto. Not all three. • Stop tracking outcomes. Start tracking prices. • Pull the full orderbook history from something like @ResolvedMarkets. See where the real money moved, and when. • Find one repeatable pattern. Backtest it using claude before you risk a dollar. • Measure your edge, not your hit rate. • Size small. Survive the variance. • Scale only what holds up over hundreds of trades. • Automate what a bot does better than you. • Log every thesis. Review weekly. Cut what fails. That is how you end up in the 0.03% the profits flow to, instead of the 84% funding them. This is almost boring. That’s why most people skip it. The edge goes to whoever does the homework. Prediction markets just made the homework public. So if you trade these markets, stop guessing and start measuring. The data is right there. Most traders never open it. If you don’t know where to start, dm me.

Two critical CVE drops in one day. This is how I'm patching my whole stack. PHP2Shell (CVE-2026-109618/9, CVSS 9.2, exploited in the wild) and 10 Node.js CVEs, including a Brotli out-of-bounds write that can lead to RCE. 1. Inventory the runtime. I ran docker exec across every container on 6 servers and read the real PHP and Node versions. 2. PHP was hiding inside my deploy platform (Coolify runs PHP-FPM). I read the vendor's upgrade script line by line, then moved it to v4.4.7 with PHP 8.4.27. 3. Node: 14 containers in 11 repos. 5 ran Node 20, which is EOL and gets no patch. That is a major-version migration, not a bump. 4. Nixpacks builds were stuck on an old Node 22 that the fix can't reach. Those apps move to Dockerfiles. 5. Exact tags (node:22.23.4, not node:22), so a cached base image can't bring the old runtime back. 6. 5 Claude Code agents build each image locally, check node -v, run the tests and open a PR. I review every diff before it ships. The best find: one app's Dockerfile said Node 22. The live container ran Node 24.10. Your Dockerfile is not your runtime, Please check the running container.
