Happy 10th birthday @VRChat 💖🎇💖 **A Decade in Digital Dreams** In a world where visions take digital flight, Ten years have soared in virtual light. Within this realm where avatars come to life, Stories woven, through love and strife. Before VR's embrace, my journey began, On YouTube's waves, a whimsical plan. Seeing a figure with hair of deep purple called boop, Finding their way thanks to knuckles, this strange and wacky group. Soon after I discovered chips and nuts, I thought they were crazy, their roleplay epic and had guts. Seasons passed, as covid's shadow struck, A valve index bought, more than just luck. In an instance where everyone would move and twirl, I met a mute maiden, a virtual pearl. In JustDance's flow, she cheered me on, Kindness continued, as night turned to dawn. Then oGURLz came, with banjo and song, Chill vibes flowing strong, where we belong. A social butterfly, weaving magic so grand, In their sweet melody, my experience would expand. Within Artifex's fold, in colors so true, An artist collective of old and new, a great home for me and for you. In this society where we all play, Exploration and opportunity shepherd the way. Through many charity events, souls unite, For causes so just, all took the fight. Sullivan, an unsung hero, Adventurer with a heart of gold, on the stage above and below. Each performer finds their rhythm, A tapestry of art, a beautiful prism. Organisms thrive, ever-changing, in technology's embrace, Freedom and safety grace this Oasis in lace. Self-expression, a canvas so wide, In every representation, our true selves hide. Self-growth in steps, both big and small, With each other, humanity stands tall. Creativity's spark, in friendship's grip, Imagination abounds upon this ship. Diverse paths we wander, free and bold, On this voyage, countless tales told. In the core of this vibrant scene, Events unfold, like wishes unseen. 'Spoken Heart' echoed in virtual space, Topics of poetic words, a tender embrace. Group hugs kept us warm, by the campfire, Three rounds counted down, by then we would retire. As a Maid at the Virtual Maid Cafe, Serving smiles, paving the way. With over two thousand companions made, In this imaginary roleplay, memories never fade. Collabs and Twitch adventures, a journey so bright, Every encounter, a delightful sight. MelonRain an otherworldly father, Strict teacher, diligent leader. Through these events, our spirits prance, Deeper within, we found serendipity, our unexpected chance. Nostalgic moments, memories so sweet, Adi, LuciferMStar, spookyghostboo, and many more, Creators of wonders that we all occasionally wash ashore. Through virtual streets, our world hopping excursions flow, In this cyber age, our spirits grow. Regrets, like shadows, may come and go, In dimming lights, we find our glow. Learning, flourishing, in this simulated tide, In partnership we travel, meeting side by side. In this realm where eventful and enchanting bond, Past the screen, in diversity we discover what's beyond. Family and friends, links connect as we learn to trust, Though the occasional cringe, all this is robust. To fight off contraband, the die is cast, Vket's festivals, true and vast. Creators gather, their craft to share, In expanses mostly free, crafted with care. Beyond the veil of reality, a show glitters, TVRS shines, with pixels bright, emitters. Phia's goal, in virtual themes, Gobit's guidance, with multiple teams. A haven for artists, big and small, Where communities rise, and barriers fall. A decade of collaborations, a portrait held with pride, With open arms, we take in stride. Here's to many more, in this virtual land, Together, in VRChat, we stand, hand in hand. 2024-01-16 This poem was written with the help of 40 people that gave me one word to represent VRChat each. Patience didn't quite make it. Some cheated and gave me a paragraph to work with xD #VRChat #poetry
