I was reading more about @MurielMedard mam today and now I understand why her work is so important to Optimum
I also made this small sketch of her because I wanted to highlight the person behind some of the ideas powering the network
Muriel mam is an MIT professor and network coding researcher who has spent decades studying one simple question:
How can information move through a network faster and more reliably?
her research focuses on network coding, where data can be combined and moved through different paths instead of every node simply waiting for one specific piece
Think of it like a puzzle
Instead of waiting for one person to give you the exact missing piece, you can receive different combinations of pieces and still collect enough information to finish it
Thats one reason RLNC is so interesting
And this is where her work connects with Optimum
As co-founder and CEO of @get_optimum Muriel mam is bringing ideas from network coding into blockchain data propagation, with technologies like mump2p
The goal is pretty simple:
>move data faster
>use the network more efficiently
>keep Ethereum decentralized
From MIT research to blockchain mainnet

the more I learn aboutf fermah, the more I realize that generating proofs is only one part of the proving infrastructure...
There is another part that matters just as much:
knowing what the prover is actually doing.
imagine running a huge kitchen
you have chefs preparing hundreds of orders, but you also need to know if the ovens are working
if something is slowing down or if a machine is having problems
Thats basically where observability comes in.
With fermah, each prover node can generate telemetry while it is doing its job
>prover Node β generates metrics and traces
>openTelemetry Collector β collects that information locally
>host metrics β monitors CPU, memory, disk and network
>fermah gateway β receives the telemetry through authenticated gRPC
so instead of simply running proving hardware and hoping everything stays healthy, operators can have visibility into how their infrastructure is performing.
one detail I found interesting:
The current pipeline forwards metrics and traces, not logs
For a decentralized proving network, this kind of visibility becomes important because problems can happen at different layers.
thats a small part of fermah, but an important one when the network starts handling more proving workloads

I wanted to make something a little different for optimum this halloween
So guys I am finally back with my game
I turned the idea of a simple flying game into a haunted optimum world
Play the game: mumflipper.netlify.app
You will fly through spooky streets, dodge haunted obstacles, collect coins and find community profile characters hidden around the map
And yeah, I added some fun stuff too
> boosters to help you survive
> coins to collect and spend
> spooky skins to unlock
> shields, Magnet & Ghost Mode
> A creepy crow flying around the city
The part I am most excited about is seeing optimum community profiles become part of the actual game world instead of just sitting in a gallery
Its still a small community project, but I wanted it to feel like more than just another game
A little halloween game built around the @get_optimum universe
hope you like it
would you survive the haunted Optimum night? π

Finally fluton Beta mainnet is here guys
I have been following @FlutonIO for a while and the privacy side is what keeps catching my attention
On public blockchains, your trades balances and transaction activity can often be visible to others
Fluton is trying to change that with encrypted intents and FHE and confidential execution
The simple idea:
>Your strategy stays private
> the transaction still happens onchain
no need to choose between using onchain finance and protecting sensitive information
Beta Mainnet is a big step toward making that practical

I just came across Optimum Turbo cards and honestly, this is a pretty cool way to celebrate a mainnet launch
Optimum created 999 digital collectibles based on real network performance data from the mump2p mainnet launch
Each card is a soulbound token, so once you mint one, it stays connected to your wallet
No selling, no transferring, no cards for sale
Itβs not meant to have value or utility either
Its basically a digital memory of the mainnet launch and the work happening behind the scenes to improve Ethereum data propagation
The cool part is that these cards connect a real network event with something the community can actually keep
999 cards
Zero for sale
Codes are being shared through Optimumβs X, Discord, community calls and quests
If I can grab one, definitely keeping it π«

Something clicked for me while learning about fermah today guys
AI agents can make decisions pretty easily
but the harder part is making sure
the same goal stays connected through every step
Think about giving someone a simple task:
get this package delivered by Friday and donβt spend more than βΉ10K
they can choose the route, book the delivery and handle different steps on the way
But the important rules still need to stay with the task
Thats where Fermahβs Execution Mandates get interesting
The original intent can carry things like:
>Budget
> Deadline
>Target outcome
So instead of the agent just saying
βI need to do thisβ
the workflow can keep track of what needs to happen and under which conditions
Intent β Plan β Execute β Verify β Outcome
And Fermah kernel helps coordinate these steps and make the workflow programmable
The bigger idea I see here:
Agents can make the decision
Infrastructure needs to carry that decision all the way to the result
That becomes really important when agents start handling more complex tasks on their own

Finally guys, something we have been waiting for is here...
Optimum mump2p is now live on Ethereum mainnet
I have been learning about how optimum improves ethereum networking for a while, so seeing the first mainnet deployment go live is pretty cool
And the numbers are actually interesting:
> 50,292 slots tested
> Blocks arrived around 335ms faster than normal libp2p
> Thats roughly 3.3x faster block delivery
> 51% fewer wrong head votes for one operator
> $3.4B+ ETH stake already running mump2p
In simple words, validators get the block earlier, giving them more time to attest correctly and work within ethereum tight slot deadlines
Nothing changes about ethereum consensus or validator keys
Its simply about making the data move faster underneath the network
mump2p is finally on mainnet

One thing I have been trying to understand better about Optimum is how all these blockchain nodes actually talk to each other
Thats where peer to peer (P2P) networking comes in
Think of it like a group of friends sharing news
There is no single person sending the message to everyone
Instead:-
One node gets the data β shares it with peers β they share it with more peers.
Thats how a new block can spread across the network
P2P helps with a few important things
> Block propagation blocks move from node to node
> Verification nodes can check the data themselves
> Synchronization nodes keep their view of the network updated
> Less central dependency there is not one server everything depends on
But there is something important here comes out guys
Having many connected nodes does not automatically make the network fast.
The connections between those nodes matter too
If some paths are slow or data takes longer to reach certain nodes, the whole network can feel that delay
And this is where Optimum gets interesting
P2P gives the network its communication layer and mum focuses on making that communication more efficient
The blockchain stays the same
But how quickly information moves through it can make a big difference

I came across Conso today and honestly, the idea behind it got me curious
CONSO is building a Consumer Reputation Layer with tools like the Miner app, Conso Bots and Conso Extension
What caught my attention most is the CONSO Bots....
They are not just collectibles sitting in your wallet.
The idea is to connect them with reputation and network participation, so the bot can actually have a role in the CONSO Network.
Think of it like this:
Normal collectible β You own it
CONSO Bot β You own it + it can help you participate in the network
That makes it more interesting to me because the collectible has a purpose, not just a nice look
CONSO is building on Sui, with Walrus also part of the ecosystem
Still exploring the project, but I like the direction.
A collectible becomes more interesting when it actually has a job to do guys
