the average person cannot keep their mind out of the gutter long enough to think about how the implication of the government censoring images of two consenting adults having sex is bad

the fact that the state can incarcerate you for viewing images of two consenting people is deeply concerning

MPs, for some reason: *arguing about oral sex on twitter*
i don’t understand gen z’s stance on sex and pornography. obviously porn addiction is on the rise and a bad thing but the fact some of you want to abolish sex and pornography is a problem and contributing to that puritan ideology. you don’t like degrading sex? don’t have it.

Wild idea I know - but I think Australia should probably consider building a national culture around something that isn’t gambling or property acquisition
The "woke UK left" the right has been talking about is banning... oral sex. That's how fucking bad it is over there. I need your party to die and be replaced by actualeft leaning people who care about REAL issues. You're a fucking joke. Fascist pigs fuck off

To give you an idea of how insane the UK’s new anti-porn law is, people are pointing out you could potentially spend years in prison for filming *yourself* giving head and the Labour MP who pushed the law responds with “well maybe you shouldn’t be giving head anyway”

You’re not L, G, B, or T.
So why are you throwing your weight around like a 1,000 lb gorilla and expecting a debate with Stonewall?
A shocking number of you think it's ok to kill clones because they "aren't people" and like, ok, that's what you took from my argument here, and from Superman (2025)?
You can tell comic book fans genuinely think they deserve to live
Delete urself

Superman has no need to show regret or despair for deleting evil guys in the first place.
And anyways, in Man of Steel, Henry's Superman shouts painfully because he deleted the last person from his dead planet, and now he is the only one left of Krypton.
So, both are GOOD.
Oh my godddd FUCKKK OFFF

The kill really isn't the issue with Man of Steel. To me, the bigger issue is when he let his father die. Superman wouldn't do that; he would reveal himself if it meant saving a life.
I get the idea; to have a character who's reluctant and wants /becomes/ a hero... (1/2)
In both of these he kills someone out of necessity but in only one of them does he show despair and regret... and the narrative actually forces you to consider the cost of his action, instead of abstracting it and moving on
Now guess which one people were mad about
Whereas Snyder is interested in challenging assumptions about heroes. He saw in Goyer's script an opportunity to investigatean idea. What if the black hole closes and Zod is still on our side? Now the abstraction is removed. There's your film's final act.
