The original video is youtube.com/watch?v=2BnXvfd_…. After an initial transient, air is moving at hypersonic speed. I think it is a Mach 6 wind tunnel. Usually it is run with preheated (high enthalpy) gas. So, the gas is usually 100Kelvin in the freestream moving at ~1200 m/s.
