The Kigali Commitments represent a key milestone for Africa’s sports economy. At #SportBizAfrica2026, stakeholders renewed their commitment to leveraging sport as a catalyst for growth, jobs, and youth empowerment under #Agenda2063.
The AUSC Sports Advisory Board meeting in Kampala, Uganda (19-20 Oct 2026) concluded with the election of a new Bureau. The Board reviewed progress on governance reforms, safeguarding, anti-doping, and preparations for future African Games.
Safe sport is a right, not a privilege. Through its Safeguarding in Sport in Africa Advocacy Brief, AUSC is championing stronger protections, accountability, and awareness to ensure every athlete across Africa can participate safely and confidently.
