Just met a Reform UK voting couple who didn't know it opposed:
Rise in minimum wage
End of two-child benefit cap
Expansion of free school meals, free breakfast clubs
Help with school uniforms
Horrified that they would lose big from Reform
How many others voted without knowing?
The English can’t love the NHS as much as they claim to if a significant portion are happy to vote for a party that threatens its existence as being ‘free’ at the point of need. Probably time to get familiar with an American model of health insurance and a lack of workers’ rights

Mum died on Monday.
Today she received a £50 civil penalty for not letting DWP know soon enough she was in hospital & had been overpaid £73.90 in allowances.
The traumatic experience of hospitalisation & loss of mental capacity was deemed 'not a reasonable excuse'.

This is shocking. New @jrf_uk report has found ‘very deep poverty’ in Britain has hit its worst level in 30 years.
Why is this not on every UK news show this morning?
Poverty is deepening.

People in very deep poverty now make up the biggest group of people in poverty, at 6.8 million people.
This is unacceptable for the fifth richest country in the world, and it has consequences.
