CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and HCIA (Huawei Certified ICT Associate) are both entry-level certifications in the field of networking, but they have some key differences: Vendor-specific: CCNA is a certification offered by Cisco Systems, focuses on Cisco networking products and technologies while HCIA is a certification program offered by Huawei Technologies, focusing on Huawei networking products and technologies 2. the ccna curriculum covers networking fundamentals, routing, switching, security, and wireless networking, with a focus on Cisco-specific technologies like IOS and ASA. HCIA Covers ICT (Information and Communication Technology) fundamentals, including networking, security, and cloud computing, with a focus on Huawei-specific technologies like Huawei Cloud and Huawei Network Exam format: Typically i love the ccna exam because of how precise it is. It consists of a single exam (200-301 CCNA) with over 85 questions and 3-4 labs ( i did 3 labs config) covering a broad range of networking topics. HCIA consists of a single exam (HCIA-Routing & Switching) with 60 questions, covering a broad range of ICT topics, no lab configurations Career prospects: CCNA is widely recognized and respected in the industry, opening doors to entry-level networking positions, such as network administrator, network engineer, or help desk technician. HCIA is recognized within the Huawei ecosystem and can open doors to entry-level positions in Huawei partner companies, as well as in industries that use Huawei technologies. Well, I'm happy i got both Cert and i enjoy exploring these vendors cause I've learnt so much! Big appreciation to @Uothmern_ZM for making it possible to acquire HCIA. Please blast his dm with APPRECIATION MESSAGE.

I took some time off to build something for people learning networking and preparing for their first roles in tech. Introducing Broken NetLabs A collection of broken network labs for aspiring Junior Network Engineers, Data Centre Network Engineers, NOC Engineers, and anyone looking to build real-world troubleshooting skills. Download a lab, find the faults, fix them, and document your solutions in public. You'll also sharpen your technical documentation skills along the way. 🔗 github.com/akintunero/broken… Happy troubleshooting! Feel free to share this with someone in your network who could benefit from it.

I went for an interesting SASE training today. The food was so nice🥹😋 it compensated for the delay.

One thing I’ve come to appreciate while working around device migration is that HA isn’t only about redundancy HA can also be part of a migration strategy. You can introduce the new device, synchronize configurations, validate the setup, and eventually transition traffic….

It reminded me that migration isn’t just “Move from the old device to the new one.” There’s a lot more thinking behind making that transition safely. So before using HA as part of a migration, I’d be checking things like: • Model compatibility • firmware versions

• Configuration synchronization • Feature compatibility • Interface differences • Failover behaviour • Licensing • the rollback plan HA can help make migration smoother, but compatibility is what makes the strategy work. Still learning. Still troubleshooting.

HTTPS encrypts the communication between your browser and the website. It protects your data while it’s traveling across the network. But encryption doesn’t tell you whether that website itself is legitimate or not. A phishing website can use HTTPS.

Malware can even be delivered over HTTPS. That’s why organizations don’t rely on HTTPS alone. We combine multiple security layers such as: DNS filtering, Firewalls, Endpoint protection, and User awareness training

I’ve reached a point where I come online and genuinely smile whenever I see progress in the tech space. At this stage of my journey, my focus is less on titles and more on learning, understanding solutions, and how they relate to network security. I initially thought I was …
