eBay is taking ~14% of all sales between people. How has no one built a viable competitor to this for a lower take rate?
FB marketplace is slightly cheaper but very scammy and still 10%
Forget competing with Amazon @elonmusk you should just build an alternative to eBay. High trust accounts here would flourish.

A USPS worker has reached out to me to shed light on what is happening with the massive acceleration in card theft.
He said he can tell me exactly what happens and how it happens.
I am trying to convince him to come on the YT channel ... even anonymously if necessary.

I get life happens. But if you can’t have card dropped off at the post office within 2 business days of having sold it, you probably shouldn’t be selling cards.

LOL eBay pockets a smooth $6.50 on a $17 transaction.
Also why is the buyer paying for shipping but I’m also “purchasing” a shipping label?

And $EBAY CEO Jamie Iannone made the acquisition LinkedIn official by posting a selfie from a recent visit with the Depop team in London.

WTF, THIS GUY FROM CURSOR GAVE GROK BOT A PILE OF CLOTHES HIS SISTER WAS TOO LAZY TO SELL – AND IT HANDLED THE ENTIRE SALE BY ITSELF
His sister had tons of clothes she never wore anymore, but selling them meant taking photos, creating listings, adding descriptions, answering buyers and negotiating prices – so she kept putting it off.
He gave the entire task to Grok Bot.
It looked at the photos, identified the items, created the listings, pulled in the relevant information and started negotiating with buyers on its own.
No babysitting. No approving every message. No sitting there telling it what to do next.
Grok Bot has its own computer, so once he handed over the task, it just kept going.
And that’s what makes this interesting.
The biggest problem with small tasks isn’t usually the work itself.
It’s the mental load of remembering them, starting them, checking them, replying to people and making sure they actually get finished.
AI agents are starting to remove that entire layer.
You don’t need to ask AI how to sell your clothes.
You can just say: “Sell these”. And let it figure out the rest.
Everyone has a list of things they’ve been putting off for months.
AI is starting to check them off for you.

A detail most people never think about until it costs them: card processing.
Every Stripe charge is ~2.9% + $0.30. On a $3 sale, that flat 30¢ eats the sale.
So, anything $5+, we absorb the processing cost with the seller’s cut is untouched.
Under $5, there’s a flat $0.75 order fee paid by the buyer, never carved out of the seller’s price. Your listing at $3 pays you on $3.
And the rest spins up on its own: your payout account is created automatically when you sell. No merchant application, no gateway, no integration.
You don’t even need a website, since we supply your storefront as the business profile. You provide your identity to stripe and verify where to send the money.
Payments should be the part you never think about.
