For 16 years, a $20 million Basquiat was at the center of a bitter legal battle between an Oscar-winning Italian producer and his ex-wife.
Then, just as mysteriously as it vanished, it turned up in a Miami warehouse.

“In the Babe’s day, a ball might stay in play until it was lost in the stands. By the late innings, it might be as brown as the infield dirt. And no lights, which meant a hitter was trying to pick a dirty ball out of the dusk—the gloaming.“ @AirMailWeekly

Weight-loss peptides are among the most exciting advances we've seen in medicine. They also deserve far more respect than they're getting.
I recently spoke with @AirMailWeekly about the growing trend of teenagers and young adults purchasing experimental peptides online and documenting their experiences on social media.
As a physician who has used peptides in precision medicine for years, I believe they can be incredibly valuable, but only when they're prescribed thoughtfully, monitored carefully, and tailored to the individual.
What concerns me is the self-experimentation, not the science. Buying peptides online and using them without the guidance of an experienced medical professional is dangerous.
The body is still developing well into your 20s. During that time, your hormones, bones, metabolism, reproductive system, and brain are still undergoing critical changes. Introducing powerful metabolic therapies without medical supervision is extremely risky. You simply don't know what the long-term consequences of these products may be.
There's another issue that often gets overlooked: many of these products are being purchased from unregulated sources, where purity, dosing, and even the ingredients themselves may not be what the suppliers claim.
Innovation in longevity medicine is moving faster than ever. That's something I celebrate every day.
But precision medicine has never been about chasing the trendy therapy. It's about using the right intervention, for the right person, at the right time, with the right data guiding every decision.
That's how we move medicine forward safely.

Before Mar-a-Lago, there was Villa Certosa.
It was Italy’s bombastic prime minister Silvio Berlusconi who provided the contemporary model of a villa where international politics and frat-house spirit merged.
