Cases of Cannibalism famously attributed to Werewolves include... Pierre Burgot & Michel Verdun 1521 Gilles Garnier 1573 Peter Stump 1589 The Gandillon Family 1598 Jean Grenier 1603 Thiess of Kaltenbrun 1692 Even the Beast of Gevaudan 1764-1767
Am I saying cannibalism is exclusive to Europeans? no. But theyre historically ritualistic... Rather than an industrialised effort of digging up the corpses of the invaded to consume them. Secular Europeans called it the crime of Lycanthropy rather than cannibalism(if European)

In 1098ce Christians devoured the flesh of local Muslims in Ma'arra. Cannibalism was commercialised in Christian Europe between the 12th century & lingering into the 20th century. More human flesh was consumed in Europe than in the colonised lands, where Europeans also ate people

It becomes increasingly interesting how many people believe that humans evolved as paranoid victims of their environment, because of a natural drive to detect agency... that isnt even exclusive to our species.
21
you know this concept is kind of unique to Christianity right? the idea of the OG sin staining humans doesnt exist in the other Abrahamic faiths. Doesn't really exist outside of them either.
you aren’t born with the stain of original sin. none of you. that’s a stupid idea and it’s time for our species to outgrow it.

If Consciousness is "mutual awareness" & internal knowledge. Then is it not... Awareness of visual forms. Of sounds. Of smells. Of tastes. Of physical sensations(touch, temperature). And of mental objects(thoughts, memories, ideas)? Then the collective unconscious & conscious?

The definitions I shall by using for the forseeable. As well as my own spin on the science of Purpose. In which teleology is Perceptual Teleonomy... And Teleonomy is the Principal of Least Action + Hysteresis within a biological framework.
41
The fundamental constituents of reality are "conscious agents". Not Human minds, but minimal units of experience & decision that interact, form networks & generate the structures we percieve as physical reality. We're localised perspectives in an interacting field of awareness.

Consciousness MIGHT arise from coherent process that bind the brain into a single quantum system rather than isolated comptations from within the skull according to "tentative" experimental "hints". I.e The "Binding Problem" & Quantum Entanglement, Effects in Microtubules, etc

The particle or electron that can be measured is not the particle or electron as it truly exists. The name that can be named is a low bandwidth language buffer for transmitting thought. Nameless is the beginning of spacetime. The named birth 10k things.

tsk... should have brought this up the other day when "@HarveyWall15 was still kicking off about weak atheism. ah well. cest la vie.
Replying to @Akinyemisback
Negative/Weak Atheism was invented in 1972 by Philosopher Anthony Flew who defined it as "an absence of belief in deities". The Purpose of this invention was to "shift the burden of proof in debates about God". Neither Philosophy or Psychology use it as a scholarly definition.

Or in super simple terms. You arent born Atheist. Weak Atheism takes cultural scaffolding & cognitive effort.. It is not a natural mental state. Its a legitimate definition only in that lots of people use it as an identity. It is not freedom from a burden of proof or reason👍🏾

The moment you engage in any form of God based debate & negate, affirm or remain neutral to a proposition....Youve abandoned the "weak Atheist" position & shifted to simple Theism, Atheism & Agnosticism. "I just lack belief" becomes avoidance & deflection(Unless Agnostic)

Oh reminder for myself for later. Naturalism ≠ Atheism. That is both Philosophically & Psychologically true. Just because "mystical" followings work alongside modern quantum physics naturally via complementarity... Does not force naturalism & nontheism into "Weak Atheism"
51
To simplify... it means humans are born as natural animists. Babies are not born believers or Atheists. Philosophy recognises Atheism as a negation of the existence of Gods. Not a passive mental state. Psychology & Cognitive Neuroscience doesnt view Atheism as passive🤷🏽‍♂️
According to Violation of Expectation Paradigms, Goal-Directed Experiments & Gaze Contingent Eye Tracking. Infants will infer agency & meaning onto their surroundings as an innate, core evolutionary operating system that comes online automatically from between 3 to 5 months old.
