White people’s awful spatial awareness on sidewalks is one of the craziest sociological phenomena ever. Like they’re unconsciously selfish in that regard on a systemic level. Wow

Me to me looking in the mirror as a continue to scroll
If you took out one hour from scrolling each day and allocated it to reading, you’d read about 25-30 books a year.

Re: the perpetual “how do people read so many books?” discourse: Average person reads 1 page per minute and if we call the average book 365 pages (it’s probably less) then you will average 1 book per year for each minute you devote to reading each day. Pretty simple.

Last standing celebrity member against the upper bleph nuke brigade. We must protect Léa Seydoux at all cost. Imagine she got her most beautiful feature removed by butcher surgeons?

Everytime I watch a classic horror film I think. Why isnt this 8 hours long with a cliffhanger every hour?
HBO is officially developing ‘THE BIRDS’, a new series inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's film. Starring Sarah Snook, the series is a modern-day reimagining of the film set in Alaska with a murder mystery at the center. (Source: Deadline)

Really must be quite depressing to be a serious actor & spend most of your time being forced into silly content gimmicks. Just endlessly banal shtick. Can only applaud Seydoux for refusing to eat a stale croissant for Instagram giggles

Ángela Karime Venegas Hernández. Remember the name. Girls who invent things deserve better than “a 16-year-old student”.
Uma estudante de 16 anos criou um aparelho que apaga o fogo usando SOM, sem água ou produtos químicos. A invenção conquistou uma medalha de ouro na Indonésia.

It also confirms for me what I already knew, ai is meant to create cheap slop for the masses while the rich still get to enjoy fine high art, luxury, and craftsmanship
Hermès, Ralph Lauren and now Prada using real artists in their campaigns and taking the extra measure of mentioning so in the caption is an upstream indicator that the authorities of luxury (read: high craftsmanship) at large decide to not let it be marred or cheapened by AI.

If this was the 90s, it would be R. Lee Ermey as the uncle and the kid would keep Dennis the Menacing him. Unfortunately the people in power are afraid of that kinda radical filmmaking these days
You can hate on military movies or Pratt all you want but I actually think we need more movies like this. Specifically, the live action PG and PG-13 movie. Everything now is edgy and R and for adults or a cartoon. If Karate Kid came out today you’d have a bunch of A24 disciples on Twitter talking about how bad it looks. This isn’t for you. We need more live action movies that kids and their parents can watch together. We’ve lost the Sandlots and Mighty Ducks and Mrs Doubtfires. I hope, at the very least, this does well enough to green light more family friendly movies.

I hate this mindset so much, someone will always be more beautiful than you, find beauty & self worth in yourself, delete Instagram & tiktok for a couple days, invest in yourself and your hobbies. to be jealous of a sibling who is more beautiful will only harm your relationships

This has really been pissing me off..::: should I become hidden away in my home forever because my little Little Sister is more beautiful than I am? She’s more conventionally attractive therefore I should die.?? no because I love her!

and if someone I was w decided that I was not worth it bc they saw my sister? Ofc that would hurt. Ofc it would be horrible but when you create a sense of self within yourself and stick with that, you won’t fall into this hole that so many people on here seem to be falling into
