This is magnificent TV. I’d sign up tomorrow if this was the format. I’ve always said this is what’s missing from the after-dark concept. As it used to be overseas. Politics is about debate and drama. Without that, it is just boring. A conga line of suck-holes all furiously agreeing with each other AND the host, is soporific and grist only for somnologists. #auspol #springst

The fact that Andy Burnham hasn't congratulated Lula tells you everything that you need to know about (the very weak) Andy Burnham.

The Roosters are open to releasing Sam Walker immediately after pulling their $4.2 million offer.
His agent Clinton Schifcofske says Walker wants to stay: "You can always come back to the table." But Nick Politis has no desire to reopen talks, and the Perth Bears could pounce.
The Roosters are reportedly monitoring Tom Dearden and former junior Ethan Strange.

My article on AUKUS.
AUKUS is about madness, militarism and money. Turning Australia into a US military base, sacrificing our sovereignty, and enriching retired politicians, military and public servants while battlers struggle to put food on the table

Greedy as fuck, well done Nick. Great businessmen do what great businessmen do.
UPDATE: Furious Roosters chairman Nick Politis authorised head of recuitment Joel Carbone to withdraw the offer.
It’s believed that Walker verbally agreed to a deal before meeting with his management who after consultation then asked the Roosters for a “slight upgrade”.
It was this that was the last straw for Politis who pulled the offer and WON’T return to the negotiating table.

Sam Walker's Roosters career is in tatters after chairman Nick Politis pulled a $4 million-plus offer tonight.
The Roosters believed Walker had agreed to a three-year deal starting at around $1.2 million a season plus a ratchet clause in line with a salary cap increase for 2028, but his camp asked for more time and then a slight upgrade. Politis then withdrew it and won't return to the table.
The club will honour his 2027 deal, but won't stand in his way if he wants to leave immediately.
