As a farmer I am FOCUSED on the yield, and working through its justification... 63bu/acre. That's field average across 128 acres - BUT there were sig areas that drowned out so my ACTUAL yield was 85. That feels better. What I often (always) fail to recognize is that this bag of beans feeds people - real people, a lot of people. Maybe we need to start focusing on that, and communicating that (and writing it large on the side of our grain bags). I am a farmer. I grow pulses. I am a CRITICAL contributor to nutritional security. And that concludes todays Grain Bag School, you are dismissed :) #farmer #perspective #Cdnag #sustainability #faba #fava #pulses #nutrition

Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow. That is the theme for World Food Day (WFD) this year. Pulses like dry peas, lentils, dry beans & chickpeas are a great source of protein, fibre, iron, potassium & healthy complex carbohydrates, a perfect fit to celebrate WFD! Where are you adding pulses today? ow.ly/t0RS50ZUCze #worldfoodday #lovepulses
