I discovered @getstonkoptions and it gives memecoins something most of them lack: a built-in audience. Pair a token with Apple, Amazon or McDonald’s. Trading fees go to employees who verify with a work email or payslip. They don’t get the meme. They get tokenized stock: AAPLx, AMZNx or MCDx. Those track the share price. You don’t need to buy the coin to claim. Verify, and if it trades, you’re in the pool. Why it works: A work email opens wallets a frog coin never would. Coworkers talk. A cook doesn’t need to care about Solana to think “if this trades, I might claim some MCDx.” Two crowds trade on one chart. Staff treat it like a raffle. Launchpad traders treat it like FOMO. More coworkers means a bigger pot, and more claimants means smaller slices. Both push in the same direction. The split after venue fees: 70% employees, 10% creator, 20% platform. Fees drip out over about a month, so nobody dumps on claimants in one click. Where it doesn’t help: If nobody at the company signs up, it’s just a borrowed logo. Promoters can still promote and leave. The question I still have: does this keep a coin alive longer than a random deploy, or is it the same 20 min lifecycle with a few people claiming MCDx on the way down? Really like the idea. Already $23K+ distributed to employees so far. Curious to see how it develops, could be a strong one at the Colosseum.

I interviewed a lot of winners and judges throughout the last Demo Day. Winning @colosseum is still the goal. Our Pitch: Since launching, we have grown from ~100k TVL to double that in three months. We also ran a UX challenge with @SuperteamDE and received valuable feedback from @Dadivan_sol, @STRONGG, @zuler, @Alex4DeFi, @mel_sol1, @0xinaids, @inno_sol, @the_first_guz and others who tested and shared their portfolio margin. Thanks for all the feedback; it's taken us from usable to shareable. 💜 🫶

Full house at Startup Village Amsterdam today. @AdevarLabs flagged AI audits as a growing risk in the space, alongside vibe coding and OpSec. @VaultMindAI came up next and made the case they're the future of security. Same stage, opposite conclusions. Day 3 tomorrow, all about security. Should be interesting.

Great talk by David from @gosodax today on fragmented liquidity and how intents could fix it. Startup Village Amsterdam, organised by @SuperteamNL, is running all week: DeFi (today), Privacy (Day 2), Security (Day 3). Great opportunity to meet founders and network too.

Founders, stop wasting time on ideas everyone agrees with. @mert opened with this: “My time is not that valuable, I spend most of it tweeting.” Humble guy. Other takeaways: - Know if you’re building a business or a startup. Growth rate is the difference. - If people agree it’s a good idea, someone already built it. Chase the contrarian takes people are sleeping on. - Use AI to find secrets your competition misses, not to automate the obvious. - Smart contracts are auditable. The protocols taking security seriously will survive natural selection. @kamino is the benchmark. - Build on Solana. Biggest builder ecosystem. Don’t be the idea guy. - Ship. One dollar is infinitely better than zero. Be delusional enough to prove others wrong. – at Belgrade, Republic of Serbia

Would be great if @kamino let users auto-route profits straight to their wallet instead of leaving them in the loop or earn. No more manual withdrawals.

Been adding to my ONyc position over the past few months. Three things came up while monitoring it that I hadn't seen explained anywhere. Why does APY stay around 11% as the market cap grows? Most yield tokens dilute as TVL grows because they divide a fixed reward pot across more capital. ONyc doesn't work that way. More capital means more capacity to underwrite insurance contracts. The yield depends on deal quality, not pool size. That's what makes it interesting as a long term position. Why does the price sometimes fluctuate up and down so much? This is a secondary market issue, not a protocol issue. In May and June, low liquidity on Orca and Raydium combined with people taking profits, Exponent v2 launching, and new looping strategies caused sell pressure on the open market. The underlying NAV kept climbing. The chart just doesn't show that cleanly but it gets readjusted daily. Why not update the underlying price in real time then? Because OnRe operates in a regulated Bermuda account and its insurance book lives off-chain. Continuous real time price feeds would introduce oracle and manipulation risks. Daily NAV updates are a deliberate trade-off. Safety and predictability over a cleaner looking chart. If you see a depeg, it should reequilibrate the next day. The token is fine. The secondary market is just noisy. One thing I'm still watching. What happens if TVL grows faster than the pipeline of quality insurance deals? Either OnRe parks the excess in T-bills and waits for better contracts, compressing yield toward base rates. Or they lower underwriting standards to deploy capital, keeping yield up but increasing risk. Right now the deal mix looks selective and diversified. But as TVL grows, that question becomes more important. @onrefinance, would love visibility on how you think about this as capital scales. What's the plan if quality deal flow can't keep pace with TVL growth?

I rated @Neutrl 6.0/10 last month. Today they paused minting, redemptions, and protocol functions. "circumstances affecting protocol reserves." That's all they're saying. I flagged four risks in the audit. Counterparty risk: the protocol buys locked VC tokens from teams that might not deliver. If they don't, Neutrl holds an unhedged short. Exchange risk: shorts on Binance and Deribit could get liquidated in a spike. One bad wick and the hedge breaks. Exit friction: unstaking takes 10 days minimum under normal conditions. Right now redemptions are fully paused. You can't even start the countdown. Collateral concentration: 66% of backing sits in sUSDe. If Ethena wobbles, Neutrl feels it. Users can't exit at all right now. Redemptions are fully paused. Not even the 10 day cooldown is available. The Proof of Solvency dashboard that was supposed to show live backing went dark at the same time. Full audit below. 👇
I wonder what happened here. Now when it's needed the most, @AccountableData's "Proof of Solvency dashboard" for Neutrl that was supposed to show if its assets are still fully backed stopped working. Accountable’s verification service is truly an embarrassment to the industry.

Yield Audit, Episode 9: @Neutrl's NUSD & sNUSD 4.73% APY on the staked side. $134M TVL, down from $234M three months ago. No depeg drama. No funding rate flip. Just a steady contraction that reveals more about DeFi capital flows than any bull‑market AUM number ever could. Here's what happened, where the yield comes from, and the one thing in the staking data almost everyone misread. Neutrl's sNUSD is a synthetic dollar that earns yield in an unusual way. It buys locked VC tokens at a discount, instantly hedges the price risk, and captures the spread. You deposit USDC, USDT, or USDe to mint NUSD—a stable, spendable token. Stake it into sNUSD, and you earn a share of the profits. The mechanism is a basis trade at scale. The protocol buys illiquid tokens (SAFTs, treasury bags) at 10-30% below market, then shorts an equivalent amount on perp exchanges. When the tokens unlock, the short is closed, the spread is realized, and the profit flows to stakers. No token emissions. No inflation. Just a classic hedge‑fund strategy inside an ERC‑4626 vault. Where the yield comes from. Three cylinders, one core. - OTC deal discounts are the main engine. Buy cheap, hedge, lock the spread. - Funding rate arbitrage provides a tailwind. The protocol is short, so it often collects payments from longs. Historically that's added 7–10% on major assets. - Idle collateral sits in sUSDe, USDS, and other yield‑bearing stablecoins, earning a base rate. In the private beta, yields hit 26–30%. Then TVL grew to $234M. More money chased the same limited pool of OTC deals, compressing the spread. You can see it in the numbers. The weekly APY fell from 14.4% in December → 10.2% in February → 8.4% in March → 7.5% in April → 4.73% today. Not a protocol failure. The price of success. Safety and risks. Neutrl is over‑collateralized at 102%, with a $4.8M reserve fund. Collateral basket: 66% sUSDe, 33% USDS, a little USDC. Diversified, but heavily reliant on Ethena and Sky. Four risks matter for a staker. Counterparty risk. If a VC or foundation fails to deliver the locked tokens, the protocol has an unhedged short. Mitigation: triparty escrow via Fireblocks, Copper, Ceffu. Exchange and margin risk. Shorts on Binance or Deribit could get liquidated in a spike. Mitigation: off‑exchange settlement (MirrorX, Clearloop) + 24/7 desk. Lockup and exit friction. This is the one you'll feel. Unstaking requires a 10‑day cooldown, then a 48h redemption queue with KYC/KYB. Skip it with a 1% instant fee, or sell NUSD on Curve. But the Curve pool has just $4.86M TVL and $3M effective depth. In a panic, the exit narrows fast. Depeg risk. NUSD is at $0.998, a tiny discount. The peg is backed by redeemability, not an algorithm. Because of the cooldown, arbitrage can't enforce the peg instantly, so it could widen under stress. The biggest dip recorded was a brief 91bp on June 17, quickly absorbed. What @PharosWatch sees. Pharos rates NUSD C+ (63/100). The breakdown is more telling than the grade. Peg stability: 99/100. Held through a 24% supply contraction in a month with only shallow dips. Rare. Exit liquidity: 64/100. One Curve pool, functional but concentrated. Redemption is a whitelisted KYC queue—not permissionless. That friction protects the peg and caps the exit score. - Resilience: 60/100. Over‑collateralized, reserve fund adequate for moderate stress, but concentration in sUSDe and USDS is a real risk. If Ethena or Sky depegs, Neutrl takes the hit. - Decentralization: 48/100. Single admin key controls minting and denylist. KYC‑gated redemptions. Contracts open, control structure not. - Dependency: 75/100 (best metric). 93.5% of collateral is liquid stablecoins, so the peg engine has a deep, reliable pool. The early warning system is flipping between Calm and Watch. Yield anomaly signals are active. The safety grade slipped from B to C+ as supply contracted and yields fell. Peg works. Capital keeps leaving. Both true. What I found: the staking ratio was a mirage. The % of NUSD staked rose even as APY crashed, from 42% in December to 78% in May. That looked like conviction. It wasn't. Here's what really happened. Late 2025, unstaked NUSD was $123M. Only 12% was staked. Early 2026, that hot money fled. Unstaked fell $123M to $42M, while sNUSD surged. The staking ratio jumped because the denominator collapsed, not because more people locked up. From March, stakers started leaving. sNUSD dropped $184M to $46M. But the ratio stayed high because unstaked NUSD was shrinking too, just slower. The ratio was a ghost. Then June. APY slipped below 5%. Stakers capitulated. The ratio crashed 78% to 52%. Total supply: $134M. Lesson: never trust a staking ratio without the absolute numbers. Neutrl is well-engineered. It does something hard: turning illiquid discounts into non-directional yield. Institutional-grade risk framework, strong backers, real-time attestations. But the yield is 4.73%. Barely above T-bills. And it comes with a 10-day cooldown, a 48h queue, KYC gates, and heavy reliance on Ethena and Sky. The peg was the star. 99/100, held through a brutal contraction. The mechanism works. What broke is the yield, not the dollar. For most stablecoin holders, there are simpler, more liquid options paying the same or better. Rating: 6.0 out of 10. It's a sophisticated product with yield that became a victim of its own early success. Infrastructure solid, peg proven under stress, but the return no longer covers the lockup. Watch, don't touch, until double digit APY returns.

Solana came within 5% of a full stop this morning. A routing fault at Teraswitch (a major hosting provider for Solana validators) took 28.83% of all staked SOL offline. Finality stops at 33.34%. That’s how close it got. What happened: Teraswitch accidentally advertised a bad internet route from their Miami site. That broken route spread to their data centers in Europe and Asia. Validators in London, Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt, Singapore, and Tokyo suddenly lost connection to the rest of the network. And that issue lasted about 30 minutes. For Solana to finalize transactions, more than two-thirds of the stake must be online and voting. The remaining validators could still process transactions, but the network could no longer guarantee those transactions were permanently confirmed until enough of the offline stake returned. One ASN, AS20326 (Teraswitch’s network ID), was holding over 27% of the entire stake by itself. The @SolanaFndn recommends a maximum of 25% per ASN precisely to avoid this kind of single provider risk. After today, lowering that limit further (to 20% or even lower) would really make the network more resilient. Decentralization isn’t just about who holds the tokens. It’s also about who runs the pipes underneath them. Very clear breakdown from @MarinadeFinance
1/ Solana got 86% of the way to a halt this morning and it barely registered anywhere. 28.83% of staked SOL went delinquent. Finality stops at 33.34%. We added up the rewards lost across all 90 affected validators. 333 SOL.
