ALT Headline reads 'London Ambulance Chief Executive statement on Bondi beach. Jason Killens KAM said: "“The senseless attack on innocent members of the Jewish community at Bondi Beach, New South Wales over the weekend reminds us of the need to steadfastly reject hatred, racism and any form of intolerance, violence and division that presents in our communities. “Our thoughts remain with all those affected by the incident including the families and friends of the victims who lost their lives, those injured, the emergency responders and those in communities across Sydney and beyond who will be impacted and shocked by the incident. “Here at LAS we treat all our patients and staff with equal care and dignity regardless of their beliefs or background. We are a tolerant, respectful and caring organisation that remains politically neutral. We condemn in the strongest possible terms any act of violence and aggression targeting innocent victims."

ALT While details of the major incident in Greater Manchester this morning are still emerging, it will understandably have significantly increased fear and concern in Jewish communities across the UK, including here in London. While there is nothing to suggest an increased threat to London, we have deployed additional resources to the areas around synagogues, other Jewish community venues and in those boroughs with significant Jewish populations. This is in addition to the officers that are already deployed in those areas as part of our existing policing plan for the Jewish High Holy Days. We are reviewing events due to take place in London in the coming days in light of this morning’s incident to ensure all appropriate measures are taken to provide reassurance and keep the public safe.
