Workshop number 9 in the books âś…
By far the most difficult - caught Covid day 1 then had 13 hours of speaking
Thank you to GOD for giving the strength to do it & thank you for everyone who came
Next one in November
It is almost impossible to profitably sell BFCM agency offers to ecom brands on paid ads
We tried this year after year
Most brands do not think about it until 2 weeks before, then it's too late for you to deliver
Much better to:
a) run your evergreen ads, mention BFCM planning on the call and sell them if they want it
or
b) sell BFCM services to your clients who already trust you and are much more likely to take your advice to forward plan
I moved to Southlake because it is one of the nicest areas in DFW
Family oriented, high income, similar values to mine
It’s 90% empty nesters
Young families can’t move in because these boomers won’t leave
There are people that vehemently disagree with everything I preach
I have learned to ignore them
Going after them changes nothing and invites negative energy
Talk to your crowd
Nothing else matters
If you think charging extraordinarily high rates is bad for your clients
You don’t understand economics
Higher prices = higher ability to serve = higher likelihood of client achieving outcome
This is the type of stuff designers love that is so bad for the client
Ain nobody scrolling through all that
Dear Group 6 Passenger
You Do Not Need To Line Up When They Call Concierge Key
You’ll Be In 24C In Just A Few Minutes
Patience
Pre check lines are 2-5x longer than general boarding every time I’m at DFW
We need something 10x more expensive
People saying businesses are firing agencies and replacing them with AI are completely coping
No, people are firing your agency because you suck
The Four Seasons is one of the most expensive, well known luxury brands in their sector because one day they decided they would only market to the wealthy
You can do the same thing with your agency any day you want to
The marketing director at an Enterprise Client might be the person who gets your agency hired
But if your pitch makes people on their team feel threatened they can kill the deal from inside the company
If you spend the call explaining everything their team is doing wrong you're asking your contact to recommend an agency that makes their department look incompetent
Find out what they're responsible for delivering and where they want help before deciding what to pitch
Their team might be managing a substantial ads budget and know exactly what it wants to test but keep waiting on creative production
Your agency could take responsibility for getting that creative produced while their team continues running the campaigns
There's a specific job for you to do without taking over work they're already handling
Get the people who would work with you involved in that conversation
Ask what they'd want you to handle and what concerns they have about bringing in an outside agency
Then agree on what your agency owns, which decisions stay with their team and what input and approvals you'll need
Put that in the proposal alongside the work you're recommending and why
Your contact needs support from people who will have to work with you so give them a chance to help shape the arrangement before they're asked to approve it
