Latest paper exploring motivation in obesity and underlying NAc circuits from the @LexKravitz lab! This work was vaulted over the finish line by our incredibly talented undergrad @YiyanPan 🍔🍕🥯🐁

I’m excited to announce the latest paper from
@LexKravitz
lab in collab with @jones_g_parker lab. nature.com/articles/s41593-0…. Here, we show that calcium fiber photometry in striatum reflects nonsomatic changes in calcium.
On a final note, I’d like to give a shout-out to all the peer-reviewers both from the journal and here on twitter. Their feedback was incredibly helpful, and it really reshaped the paper to be what it is now.
Also, all the raw data and data analysis pipelines are available at osf.io/8j7g2/. Please feel free to reuse any of the code there.
Does anyone know of papers that analyze fiber photometry data in other way other than peri-event analysis or counting transients? If so, would you mind sharing refs?

The latest preprint from @LexKravitz lab is here!! We asked how obesity drives changes in NAc circuits and food seeking. 🍔🐭biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
What features would you like to see in a python package for fiber photometry signal processing? I have a module that a few labs have found useful. I'm thinking about refining and expanding it, and to make it public. The emphasis is to make it as simple to use as possible.

Reminder from @AlexLegariaM that striatal fiber photometry signals do not reflect somatic firing activity in comparison with endoscopic recording and in vivo ephys. Interpret those traces with caution! #IBNS2021

Our FED3 paper from @LexKravitz lab just dropped in @eLife!! With co-lead authors @mohamedamrali93 and the Untwittered Tom Earnest, this open-source platform allowed us to collect home cage food intake and operant behavior data across multiple institutes.
