I think a lot of people believe the only advocacy for porn / SW / performers is like, unbridled gooner enthusiasm. No. This community is one of the front-lines of speech and labor battles that will eventually become relevant to everybody.

i’m 43 and this has itself got to be bait.
Accidentally caught @SnakeySmut being gleeful.
See y'all Thursday!
Please come to Safe Mode Off, a photo show I am putting on with my friend @GustavoTurnerX, in Los Angeles on October 29th. My photos feature an ongoing collaboration with the Big Dawg @caseycalvertxxx. partiful.com/e/OJzKpze7fyFXs…

We've got a SECOND October bonus out today and it's FREE! We talk Dario Argento's PHENOMENA with Mandi Bossard!
I don't disagree, honestly. As platforms go I enjoy Letterboxd just fine because I like movies but atomizing every single thing into some sort of transaction that primarily benefits data collection and sorting is, as we've learned over the past 2 decades, not ideal.
Speaking of all this, quick reminder to come see @GustavoTurnerX's and my opening in Los Angeles on October 29th. It's called Safe Mode Off and we'd love to see you there.

Los Angeles people only:
Come to Highland Park 10.29
Me and @alexsteed are showing photos.
I’ll be showing selected archival prints from over a decade covering the adult industry. Many never seen before.
The porn community like you’ve never seen it before.
Replying to @alexsteed

Soooo my new album came out in July but I think ultimately she thrives in October.

The good news is that after this blip in the radar everything will soon go back to normal and be very cool and moderately predictable again.
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.

I suddenly know a bunch of folks new to the app game who have... built an app that does... something. Or a series of somethings. The elevator pitches for said somethings are convoluted and three meandering caveat-laden paragraphs long.
Every single hobby I love has has been infected by slopped up and unserious software. It's exhausting. aftermath.site/ai-slop-hobbi…
Not exactly a long-term growth strategy.
A scoop from me: CBS-owned local stations' election coverage will be sponsored by DraftKings, a deal that has stirred concern inside the company. status.news/p/cbs-draftkings…
Somebody posted a bit of Kurt's journals in the Nirvana subreddit today and wanted to know if it was real. A bunch of people said no, but it WAS (somebody photocopied the original page for proof) and it turns out the bit posted was AI upscaled and the upscale changed words.
