La foto fue tomada el 15 de julio de 1944. 5 días antes del atentado del 20 de julio y que desencadenó la operación Valkiria. El día 15, Stauffenberg tenía previsto activar la bomba, pero al no estar ni Himmler ni Goering presentes en la conferencia, decidió posponer el atentado.
