“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the Light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:1-5

On Tuesday 20th October, Crewkerne lost Lucy Silcocks. She was just 32.
Lucy was Joshua Bonehill-Paine's fiancée, his best friend and, in his words, his soulmate. They met in the summer of 2019, got engaged the following February, and built their life together here in Crewkerne, the town that inspired the Crewkerne Gazette, which Joshua co-founded.
Above everything, Lucy was a mum. She doted on their three boys, Leo (6), Max (5) and Jack (2), and they were the centre of her world. She was a gifted artist, quick to laugh, and the heart of their home.
Lucy took her own life. Her loss has devastated Joshua and the boys, and Joshua is struggling to find a way forward without her.
Joshua wants Lucy to have the send-off she deserves, in the town they called home. But alongside the cost of her funeral, the family has lost the income that kept a roof over their heads, and Christmas is only weeks away.
Nothing can bring Lucy back. But your kindness can give her a farewell worthy of her, and ease some of the hardship facing Leo, Max and Jack in the hardest winter of their young lives.
Every donation, however small, and every share means more than we can say. All money raised will go towards Lucy's funeral and supporting the boys through the months ahead.
A massive thank you on behalf of Joshua and the boys, who will be very grateful of your support during this incredibly difficult time.

My prayers go out to you brother.
Yesterday in Plymouth, whilst Farage was publicly attacking me, I was facing something far greater. Lucy, my partner of seven years and the mother of my three children, had taken her own life.
Lucy had been struggling with her mental health since the summer. She stood by me through every change I made. When we met, after I had served three years in prison, she didn't judge me. She saw who I was trying to become.
Whilst Farage and other Reform MPs had been criticising and condemning me none of them chose to mention that I have spent the last eight years working against the extremism I once embraced.
We had seven wonderful years together. But the press attention was hard on her: the knocks at the door, the comments, the remarks from figures in and around Reform UK, including Raheem Kassam, Nigel Farage and Robert Jenrick. It weighed heavily on her that her life was being shaped by mistakes I made a decade ago.
Lucy was the love of my life and my soulmate. She is irreplaceable. Our boys will grow up knowing how much their mother loved them, and their care now rests with me.

Not being a yes-man is honorable.
But in such a critical period before midterms, it is important to rally support behind the Republican Party, whose leader is Trump.
Any messaging besides this only demoralizes conservatives from getting out to vote.
The Jesus.

I like to ask: if Christ is the groom and the Church is the bride, where in the Bible does the church dictate what the Jesus does?
The inversion of roles in our current era is to our eternal detriment.
Well written Aaron.
Don’t be a cuck.
The trouble is, for so many men in evangelical churches today, "giving up all the stuff that's important to them" now also includes giving up their headship.
They are taught to "lay down" their headship for the sake of keeping their feminist wives "happy" while patting themselves on the back for being like Jesus.
In reality they are merely protecting themselves against backlash, something Jesus would never do. Such backlash may come from their wife, or it may come from those who might prefer talk of "headship" in name only, as though it is just an honorary title with no real meaning, a mere box-ticking formality.
In our day, loving your wife the way Ephesians 5 calls you to may require you to be far more sacrificial than you realise, including:
- saying no your wife for her good
- making godly decisions your wife would not make
- dying to your reputation in the eyes of church feminists who would prefer your wife to be more like them
A godly husband who truly loves his wife and seeks her should be willing to be sacrificial in both the expected and the unexpected ways, like being willing to be called unsavoury names for the sake of upholding the practice of Biblical marriage at a time in history in which such a view is tantamount to blasphemy against the gods.
The tell is that whenever they come across something that resembles genuine Biblical patriarchy, the very same people who love to cite Ephesians 5 in order to keep the husbands "in check" soon begin to resemble those who chanted: "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" (cf. Acts 19).
In feminist-coded churches, Biblical patriarchy will inevitably cause riots, and like the town clerk in Ephesus, too many pastors today would prefer to maintain the feminist idolatry in order to avoid a disturbance of "the peace".
This is the reason why we have the 2nd amendment.
What happens when you lose a war?
Your women get raped
Your building get burned down
Your wealth is plundered
Itching is pain at a slower scale.
Riots are war at a slower scale.
God bless this man and his family.
God console those whose children and loved ones were taken.

Stopping the attack after children ages 5, 8, and 11 were killed.
Kaylub Giamanco’s actions ended the threat before it could claim even more innocent lives. HERO! 🇺🇸
