PUBLIC STATEMENT The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has learnt with concern of the launch of a “National Data Strategy” by the Ministry of Information, Communication Technology and National Guidance (MoICT&NG). The Bureau informs the public that the strategy breaches the provisions of the UBOS Act, 1998, Cap. 333, which establishes UBOS as the principal data collecting and disseminating agency responsible for coordinating, monitoring and supervising the National Statistical System. The public is therefore strongly advised to treat the impugned “National Data Strategy” recently launched by the MoICT&NG with the utmost contempt it deserves. Read the full statement below. #UBOS #EvidenceBasedStatistics #DataForDevelopment

Say whatever you want but 95% of Rwandan Dj's need to level up their game. They need creativity in their play list. They just play their favorite music and don't give a danm about their audience.

Seeing Musanze Market burn to ashes is an unbearable heartbreak💔. It’s more than a physical structure, was the heartbeat of our community, a source of daily and many people’s dreams and future. only to watch everything vanish in minutes. How do you recover from this 💔💔

Seeing most basketball courts require a fee to be allowed to play🤦🏾‍♂️
I hate that every aspect of life eventually comes back to money. You work to afford to exist, spend your entire month trying to keep up with expenses, and even the things you’re passionate about become another way to generate income. It’s exhausting having to monetize your existence.

When 98% of everything is wrong in any situation, it’s really hard to just focus on the 2%✌️
The country has its challenges, just like any other. But when we constantly focus on everything that is wrong, we eventually forget everything that is still worth loving. Yes, it feels good to hear that people are having great vacations, going out, laughing, and enjoying life. Because behind all our problems lies a truth we too often forget: this country has everything it takes to be a paradise. #Burundi ❤️

More than 16 years of education, yet no one taught us how to console a grieving friend or what to say when someone we love is at their lowest.

I just published a manifesto for all the developers out there who use an AI coding tool, but feel like they're not shipping much faster I wrote 10 principles for changing how you build software with AI, based on what I've seen work for teams across Amazon kiro.dev/topics/frontier-eng…
