Since you don’t read sheet music (unless I’ve misunderstood) how have you learned piano, particularly chords @istevejansen? I learned the bare basics a lifetime ago, but find it hard to imagine playing without some knowledge but I’ve seen videos of you playing. Just curious…

I really like Squeeze, but listening to Tempted (knowing @istevejansen tried out for them) I think he could have played this song at least, even in the β€˜70s. πŸ˜‰ (I still love the song.)

This is a NZ musician I’ve loved for years whose music sometimes reminds me of Steve Jansen nowadays. He does classical piano style (Fly My Pretties) as well as electronic and just makes me happy. I Neva Dared is a favourite. module.bandcamp.com/album/re…

I know you were asked about your influential drummers and I absolutely understand your answer, so were there any specific songs with bongos that inspired you @istevejansen when you first started? Something that made you ask your parents for a pair? πŸ˜„

Out of curiosity, did you ever meet (or at least enjoy the work of) Tony Thompson @istevejansen? He was a fellow Tama endorser wasn’t he?

It’s fun watching Siouxsie and the Banshee’s video for Dear Prudence and watching Robert Smith and the others in the background.

Richard once posted a photo of Mick’s bare foot over a toilet and said Mick would take sneak photos of random body parts of his with people’s cameras if they left them unattended. Do you have any photos like that @istevejansen ?

Utrecht is an incredible city combining (pre)Roman history through to new developments via the CU2030 project. It’s a city that embraces the ancient past without ignoring the future. I saw what was going on almost 10 years ago+ and am familiar with the continuing growth. ❀️🀍

I spent too long in Italy where each word is pronounced more carefully than you’d think. When I hear (US) English speakers saying English place names, I get a bit twitchy, which is funny because it depends on the place. Nottingham needs those Ts; Worcestershire is more lax. πŸ˜‰

Inspired by someone (US) saying Nottingham where the Ts sound like Ds. 😬 Don’t get me started on Glasgow or Edinburgh… πŸ˜‰(I’m American with a Scottish mother and an Italian husband). I tease my β€œdeaf” mum when she complains about my pronunciation. I’m more careful!πŸ™„
