Life in the UK: £4 for a coffee £40+ for a takeaway for two £1.75 a litre of petrol £4000+ for a family holiday in Europe (for anything fairly decent) £1000 only gets you a 'cheap' summer holiday at a campsite in the UK £90 for the vet to look inside my dogs ear (no treatment) £4.69 for a McDonald's Happy Meal BTW tax brackets have been frozen since 2022, ~15.2% inflation in that time I do love the our countryside though lol

This was a steep learning curve for me in early adulthood: personal finance is 90% behaviour and 10% maths. Trading is exactly the same. So many liquidations & round trips come emotional decisions lol.
