Some fantastic menu ideas from these brilliant chefs to ensure care home residents have a great Christmas dining experience using their skills and expertise alongside the clinical input from dietitians and SLTS - great partnership working 👏👏
It’s 35 days to Christmas - but how do you cater for all your residents needs? An @iddsi_org Christmas that mets their nutritional needs, fits in with the budget and can be done under time pressures - lots of fab ideas (and artwork!)

As leaders we are role models: our words, deeds & the environment we create are massively amplified to those around us. New research evidence shows that people will take on more challenging tasks if they see others around them do so. It's like a form of social contagion. If, as leaders, we visibly engage in & embrace challenging tasks, we can influence our team members to do the same, encouraging a culture of growth, innovation & collective support. psycnet.apa.org/fulltext/202…. Fantastic project!!
Education Minister @paulgivan has addressed delegates at a conference to celebrate the success of the first year of a joint @Education_NI and @healthdpt Special Educational Needs and Disability Partnership project delivered by the @publichealthni. The project has supported seven special schools to create a supportive network across their local area that involves education, health, local government, statutory agencies, and the voluntary and community sector.

As leaders, we want to build learning systems & learning organisations. That means we need to role model being continuous learners. It can be hard to make space for personal learning when our roles are so full on. Here are five ways to keep learning, even when we feel depleted: 1) Challenge our beliefs about our capacity to learn; 2) Start with topics that solve urgent problems; 3) Don’t limit ourselves to learning via formal programmes; 4) Make an emotional connection to learning - in line with what matters to us rather than the expectations of others; 5) Work with our brains, not against them - evidence-based approaches that increase retention. hbr.org/2024/09/how-to-keep-…. By Nihar Chhaya in @HarvardBiz. I've paired this with a cartoon from @OfficeGuyToons that makes me smile. Always keep learning! Be a sponge!
