A personal update ๐
After an incredible journey, I've decided to close my chapter as part of the MemeX team.
It was a fantastic adventure. I helped grow the community, supported the timeline every day and shared the vision from early on. I'm proud of what we built together, and grateful for every builder, mod and memer I met along the way.
But growth means listening to yourself. My personal development, vision and ambition are pulling me toward a new path, one where I build on my own terms.
To the MemeX team and community: thank you for the ride. I wish you nothing but the best. ๐
What's next? A new chapter is loading. Stay tuned. ๐๏ธ๐

Sunday wrap ๐
This week AI got new open models, voices that sound human, and labs locking down their own training. Fast doesn't slow down.
Your edge is still judgment. Grateful for everyone who showed up here this week.
What's one thing you'll do differently next week?
Builder tip ๐ ๏ธ Sunday planning in 5 minutes.
Dump every task for next week into one messy list. Paste it into AI and ask: "Sort this into must, should and could. Max 3 musts."
The limit is the point. A plan with 12 priorities has none.
Poll ๐๏ธ AI voices now laugh, pause and talk over you like a real person.
Would you talk to one?
0%Yes, if it says it's AI
0%Only for simple tasks
0%No, I want a human
0%I already do

A self-hosted chat interface for AI. Plug in local models via Ollama or any OpenAI-compatible API, and keep your chats on your own machine. It can even run fully offline.
Why it matters: your AI, your data.
Do you self-host any AI yet?
Block just showed Dessa, a voice model that laughs, pauses and talks while it listens. It runs locally on a high-end laptop. No public access yet; they're asking safety researchers to test it first.
My take: when AI sounds human, "trust but verify" becomes a daily habit.
GM โ๏ธ Clocks went back in Europe last night. One free hour.
Don't scroll it away. Spend it on the thing you keep saying you'll start "when you have time."
Today you have time.
What's your extra hour going to?
Saturday wrap ๐
Rest isn't the opposite of building. It's part of it. The best ideas usually show up when you finally stop forcing them.
Grateful for everyone sharing what they're working on, even on weekends.
What recharges you the most?
Builder tip ๐ ๏ธ Start your prompt with the goal, not the task.
Not "summarize this report."
But "I need to decide by Monday whether to renew this vendor. Summarize what matters for that."
Context turns a generic answer into a useful one.
Poll ๐๏ธ Weekend question.
How do you spend your free time as a builder?
0%Side project
0%Learning something new
0%Fully offline
0%Catching up on work

Open-source (MIT) toolkit that turns PDFs, DOCX, slides, spreadsheets, emails and scans into clean Markdown or JSON for AI. Layout, tables, OCR, runs locally.
Why it matters: AI is only as good as what you feed it.
Your messiest file type?
AWS just open-sourced Infinity, an agent runtime that pauses agents while tools run and resumes them when results arrive. They fit 75,000 concurrent agents on an 8 GB Raspberry Pi 5.
My take: most agents spend their life waiting. Waiting should be free. ๐๏ธ
GM โ๏ธ Saturday mode.
No deadlines, no meetings. Perfect day to learn one thing you keep saying you'll "get to later."
One hour. One new skill. That's how builders compound.
What are you learning this weekend? ๐๏ธ
Friday wrap ๐
Another week of building in public. Some posts hit, some didn't. All of it taught something.
Thanks for every reply, vote and DM this week. ๐
What's one lesson from this week you're keeping?
Builder tip ๐ ๏ธ Paste the error, not your summary of it.
"It's broken" gets you guesses. The full error message plus the 10 lines around it gets you a fix.
Give AI the raw evidence. Let it do the reading.
Poll ๐๏ธ New AI tools drop every single week.
How do you actually learn a new one?
0%Official docs
0%Videos & tutorials
100%Threads on X
0%Just break things
1 votes โข Final resultsProject spotlight ๐ OpenCode
Open-source AI coding agent (MIT). Runs in your terminal, desktop or IDE, and works with 75+ model providers, including local models.
Why it matters: your workflow stays yours when models change.
Which coding agent do you use?
Anthropic just opened a preview of Claude Duet: an agent that comes to you first. Morning brief, background tasks, and it asks before it sends, pays or deletes.
My take: the shift isn't smarter answers. It's AI that knows when to interrupt you. ๐๏ธ
GM โ๏ธ Friday check-in.
Don't judge the week by how busy it felt. Judge it by what's actually done.
Close one open loop before the weekend. Your Monday self will thank you.
What's the one thing you're finishing today?
Thursday wrap ๐
Some days you build. Some days you fix. Both move you forward.
Thanks for reading, replying and sharing your own lessons. You make this feed better. ๐
What did you fix today that nobody noticed?
