LLMs are quite capable coders. Now, people say they are limited by programming languages designed for humans.
I think it is the opposite: they are enabled by programming languages designed for humans.
You cannot just design a new programming language for LLMs because where would the training data and project examples come from?
It’s also interesting how, for that reason, Python acts as a reasoning trace for LLMs. I.e., ask to code up something in Python, then port it to CUDA or Rust (versus coding it in CUDA or Rust) directly.

Hedge funds are loading up on shorts:
Hedge funds’ short positioning in S&P 500 futures has jumped to a record $180 billion.
Since April’s low, short exposure has risen ~$75 billion.
This surpasses the previous record of nearly $170 billion set in January.
Hedge funds’ short exposure as a % of open interest now stands at ~27%, the highest since mid-2023.
By comparison, near the low of the 2022 bear market, this metric was at ~31%.

Replying to @drewcoffman
@drewcoffman shows how hard it is to onboard ppl to crypto today - almost as hard as making coffee with his manual espresso machine
But he nails it with why the new TBA is a moment of change for our industry - People can come to crypto for content, making friends, earn money, and then yeh, managing or tracking their portfolio.
Much simpler and wider value proposition.
That's why we bet on Farcaster and CBW as our key distribution channel.
Excited for tomorrow.
