*My Dad and I in line to vote* My Dad to woman behind us: “There sure are a lot of candidates this time.” Woman: “Hopefully you did research on the right man to pick for Mayor.” My Dad: “I will be picking the right woman for the job, that’s for sure.” #JYOTi4mayor #yyccc 🤗

Calgary is an amazing city, with opportunity for people who chose to call it home. This was a great chance to talk about what makes us matter & how my journey brought me here. Thank you @macleans - that was fun!

The @cityofcalgary isn't just oil, gas and the Stampede. Thanks to mayor @JyotiGondek, it's a new mecca for young workers, a green-energy hotspot and a city at the forefront of solving issues like homelessness and the housing crisis. #Mayor #Calgary #YYC macleans.ca/society/mayor-jy…

Okay… what do you do if you didn’t receive a single one of the 3,000 emergency test alerts? 🤔

You want to talk about city building? How about worldbuilding.🌎#AvatarWayOfTheWater transported me to a beautiful new planet tonight. Phenomenal. This franchise is going to tear up the 2020s. All aboard the Avatar train. Choo choo! 🚂

This is jarring. Twitch brought my friends and I so much joy. He was so captivating to watch and just exuded charisma. This one really hurts. I’m heartbroken to know he was in so much pain.💔

Last night at the Mayor’s Celebration for the Arts, @JyotiGondek spoke about the need for storytelling to inform a welcoming society - something that we are all trying to build. So in honour of that, here is a mini story of friends who realized their song just came on. 🎶

For poli nerds, Organizational Meeting’s of Council is our version of a sports draft. I’m not so secretly pumped to watch today’s #yyccc draft unfold.

Words that are actually great but the frequency with which they are being used is irksome: 1) vibrant 2) resilient 3) strive 4) leverage 5) community builders

Here lies my Aunt, Grandma and Grandpa. We spread their ashes here. We commemorated them here. We shared joyous and heartbreaking news here. Their plaque was stolen and sold for scrap metal. I don’t understand how anybody could do this. How could you take them from us, again?

🌟 A star is born! Behind the curtain of dust and gas in these “Cosmic Cliffs” are previously hidden baby stars, now uncovered by Webb. We know — this is a show-stopper. Just take a second to admire the Carina Nebula in all its glory: nasa.gov/webbfirstimages/ #UnfoldTheUniverse
The image is divided horizontally by an undulating line between a cloudscape forming a nebula along the bottom portion and a comparatively clear upper portion. Speckled across both portions is a starfield, showing innumerable stars of many sizes. The smallest of these are small, distant, and faint points of light. The largest of these appear larger, closer, brighter, and more fully resolved with 8-point diffraction spikes. The upper portion of the image is blueish, and has wispy translucent cloud-like streaks rising from the nebula below. The orangish cloudy formation in the bottom half varies in density and ranges from translucent to opaque. The stars vary in color, the majority of which, have a blue or orange hue. The cloud-like structure of the nebula contains ridges, peaks, and valleys – an appearance very similar to a mountain range. Three long diffraction spikes from the top right edge of the image suggest the presence of a large star just out of view.
