Set an alert on Snowflake Cortex credits in about a minute. Pick the AI service category, choose Cortex Functions credits, and alert when credits exceed five over the previous day. app.snowflake.com/marketplac…

We check one thing before the markers, which is the confidence indicator. If it reads Low Confidence at 50%, narrow the question before you act on the answer.

An AI tool gives you a Snowflake cost number. Finance asks where it came from. What do you show them? In Altimate Studio, every number with a source gets a marker. Click it and you see the source table and the SQL behind it.

Studio adds those markers in a separate step, after it writes the answer. So the wording never bends to fit a citation. A number with no marker is commentary, and it stays out of the finance review.

Compiled dbt SQL is still hard to read. Right click, Visualize SQL, and the query becomes a diagram: every CTE, group by and join, with the code behind each node. marketplace.visualstudio.com…

Which team spent the most on Snowflake yesterday? Team Spends shows each team's spend day by day for up to 28 days, plus the spend no team owns yet. app.snowflake.com/marketplac…

Click any column in your dbt project and see its column-level lineage in VS Code. Turn on relationships and it infers primary and foreign keys from your tests, contracts and semantic entities. marketplace.visualstudio.com…

A Snowflake workload averages 23 minutes. Then one run takes over an hour. Where do you start? We rule out three causes first: the warehouse, the task count and the code.

The fix was one of two, a larger warehouse size or the query split into smaller chunks. The ticket goes to Jira or Linear and points at one child query, fix attached.

Tableau users, tag your refresh queries through Edit Initial SQL first, because an untagged refresh has no history to compare. Which cause do you hit most often?

Stored procedure cost disappears into your Snowflake warehouse bill. Break it out: total cost per procedure, runs, execution time and warehouse. Sort by cost and the expensive ones are at the top. app.snowflake.com/marketplac…

Hover over a ref() in your dbt model and see: - the columns it pulls - how many nodes it sits from the source No jumping between files. dbt Power User for VS Code: marketplace.visualstudio.com…

Snowflake has 16 AI service categories now, from Cortex Code to AI inference. Do you know which one drives your AI bill? See the total, the daily trend and the spend per service in one view. app.snowflake.com/marketplac…

Does your Snowflake cost review start with storage? It misses the pipeline that loads each table. One table cost $0.04 a year to store and $204.93K a year to load.

So we check reads against writes too. Another table on the same screen had 0 reads against 186 writes in the last month. Check lineage before you drop one, because whole pipelines can come out this way.

dbt unit tests are the ones teams skip. Altimate Code proposes the test scenarios and the YAML. You pick one. Nothing is added until you approve it. marketplace.visualstudio.com…
