Brady stays present in both of his children’s lives and does still hold the same feelings for Josie, too.
For now, the two deny their feelings and co-parent the best they can. Josie remains in her chosen career and Allie is much happier now than she was back then.
Josie just knew she could make a difference here so her career jump was exactly what she needed.
She still stays very close with Brady, those feelings for him very present. So much so, that the two had a one night stand a few months ago, resulting in Josie getting pregnant.
She wanted to help more people and couldn’t bear the thought of other parents going through what she had with Allie. The recovery from Allie’s addiction had been tough, with rehab stays and going cold turkey. The therapy after was long and ongoing.
To deal with her emotions about the event, Josie started attending a group with her daughter. They spoke about addiction and bullying and Josie decided that she needed to be doing more.
She made a sudden career move to become a recovery coach.
Soon, the two divorced. But still co-parented well. Benji and Allie would spend every other week at Brady’s house.
After the incident, Josie moved Allie to a different school where she was now thriving, once again. They made a pact to tell each other everything.
Allie was taken to hospital, and luckily, she survived. She told her mom and dad everything, but the events took a toll on Josie’s marriage.
Brady and Josie argued a lot. They couldn’t understand how this had gone on under their roof, without them knowing.
When Josie and Brady got home, they started dinner but got interrupted when Benji said Allie wasn’t waking up.
They ran to her side, seeing the discarded syringe, needle, bottles of alcohol and pill packets and immediately called for help.
One night, Allie had had enough of the lying and awful lifestyle she had been living. She tried to tell the group she wasn’t doing it anymore, but they beat her until a teacher stopped it.
Allie ran home and tried to take her own life whilst Josie & Brady were picking Benji up.
And then escalated to physical bullying. Allie didn’t want to report them because she knew it would get worse. So, she joined them.
She started drinking and experimenting with drugs behind her parents’s back. She hated it but it was better than being bullied in her eyes.
Allie was being bullied by the popular crowd because she showed zero interest in anything they liked to do. Allie preferred books and studying, movies and puzzles. She didn’t care for parties or drugs or alcohol. But this group didn’t stop.
It started with text messages.
Now married, with two kids, the couple couldn’t be happier. Their careers were going great and their kids were thriving, both emotionally and intellectually. That was until now 15 year old Allie started experiencing bullying in school.
Brady became a motorbike mechanic and the two just made everything work.
When Josie was 30, the couple welcomed a second baby into the world. Benjamin (Benji) Grey Bradley was the missing piece in their lives and shortly after he was born, the couple finally tied the knot.
They supported each other through every endeavour.
Josie studied further, getting the necessary qualifications and becoming a licensed therapist. She was damn good at her job, with people continuously coming back to her for help and recommendations flooding in.
Adulthood ~
Despite being a teen mother, Josie managed to graduated with honours. She was top of her class and it was thanks to Brady, Heidi and Patrick helping her.
Her relationship with Brady was going strong, too. The two were a force to be reckoned with.
Within a year of them being together, she fell pregnant. The couple were terrified but neither wanted to get rid of the baby.
Alexia (Allie) Rae Bradley was born when Josie was just 19. Brady stayed with Josie, helping her to care for their daughter when she was studying.
