My favourite poem by Franz Wright.

'Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.' - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I’m writing to you all the time, I am writing with both hands, day and night.

O kind woman of the south, even the breeze has stopped sending me news of you.

How often do I return to this poem?

The J in J. Liyanage stands for Javed. Because Javed Liyanage Miandad. That's the tweet. #ENGvsSL

What used to be a fearsome proposition for batters in New Zealand conditions is now reduced to this vulgar hitting spectacle again. This is not the game I grew up loving. I think T20 squads should do away with bowlers entirely, play only batsmen in the playing 11. Pathetic.

Lydia Davis, for how long have I loved and lived your poem.

November, and you’re alone.

How much does grief weigh? A teaspoon of a dying star? Six billion tons?

Linger.

And what is more generous than a window?

you are what you bookmark

Which is better, the distant lover you long for or the one you see daily without desire?

Insatiable.
