BECAUSE APPARENTLY... “DO NOT DISTURB” WASN’T ENOUGH. 🏈🤦‍♂️ Meet Terry Ward, 64 of Richmond Virginia.. who is accused of taking the phrase “I need some peace and quiet” to a level that would make a prison warden say.. “Buddy, that’s a little extreme.” According to a criminal complaint.. Ward’s wife told police he taped her to a chair in the basement and left her there for 30 to 45 minutes while he watched football upstairs. Officers reportedly found marks and tape residue on both her arms.. and Ward allegedly admitted to restraining her. SMH Think about the logic here. Millions of people manage to watch football while their spouses talk.. ask questions.. walk through the room.. or commit the unforgivable crime of existing in the same house. Some invest in headphones. Some retreat to the garage. Some develop the ancient art of pretending to listen. 😆 This guy allegedly went straight to basement hostage situation. Imagine being so committed to uninterrupted football that your game plan apparently includes felony abduction. Forget the playbook.. Terry. The only thing you’re successfully defending here is your future court date. Ward faces felony abduction and misdemeanor assault on a family member. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 10. And just to be clear: the football motive has been widely reported, but police have not independently confirmed that was the reason for the alleged restraint. Some men yell at the television. Some throw the remote. Some threaten to trade the quarterback. And then there’s allegedly this guy.. who seems to have mistaken his basement for a low budget episode of Law & Order.. 🚨 - TRAGEDY IN PALM HARBOR FL AN OFF DUTY FLORIDA DEPUTY IS DEAD AFTER ALLEGEDLY POINTING HIS GUN AT FELLOW DEPUTY. A night that began with a Halloween party.. ended in tragedy early Saturday morning when a 30 year old Florida sheriff’s deputy died after an armed confrontation with a fellow deputy in Palm Harbor. David Greis Ospina.. who had served with the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office since July 2019.. was found inside his truck with a self inflicted gunshot wound.. after deputies responded to multiple 911 calls around 2:37 am on October 24th. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office: Ospina and a female colleague.. also a Pasco deputy.. had attended a Halloween party in Pasco County before heading to Silks Gentlemens Club on U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor. Sounds like they might have been.. more than coworkers... 🤔 Investigators say an altercation broke out in the parking lot. The two then got into Ospina’s truck.. where detectives allege he pulled out a gun and pointed it at the woman before turning the weapon on himself. The female deputy managed to escape the vehicle and alert people at the business.. who called 911. First responders attempted lifesaving measures and transported Ospina to a local hospital.. where he was pronounced dead. Authorities have not publicly identified the female deputy or disclosed what led to the confrontation. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Robbery and Homicide Unit is investigating. Behind the badge was a 30 year old whose life ended in a devastating incident.. and a fellow deputy who had to escape this terrifying situation. Thoughts & prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy. 🙏
