A Maryland lawmaker says the state needs to take a more aggressive approach to protecting foster children who repeatedly go missing from residential facilities, warning that vulnerable young people could be exposed to trafficking, exploitation and other serious dangers. bit.ly/3TT6YvV

Could be a conflict?
The teachers union wants to end the school choice programs Florida families depend on.
That same union endorsed @davidjollyfl.
As governor, he would be expected to defend those programs in court.
Could Floridians trust him to fight the very people who elected him? The answer is no.

Vote Moore out, quit allowing yourselves and everyone else to be robbed blind! The wealthiest have moved. That means more of the tax burden on whoever's still here. Every "accomplishment" he claims is nothing but a scheme to use more taxpayers money to fund his deficits. NO MOORE
🚨 DAN COX TARGETS WES MOORE OVER SOARING ELECTRIC BILLS, VEHICLE FEES AND PROPERTY TAXES — PROPOSES $800 MILLION IN DIRECT RELIEF
Maryland Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Cox held a Friday press conference outside BGE headquarters in Baltimore, challenging Gov. Wes Moore’s affordability record and outlining plans to reduce household expenses.
The central contrast: Moore’s $200 million energy initiative funds renewable generation and battery storage projects, while Cox proposes returning $800 million from Maryland’s energy fund directly to utility customers.
▪️ $800 MILLION ENERGY RELIEF: Cox proposes returning ratepayer-funded money over two years, challenging BGE rate increases and strengthening Public Service Commission oversight.
▪️ PROPERTY TAXES: Cox wants to review rising assessments, target reductions of at least 50% in excessive assessment burdens and cut or eliminate property taxes for seniors 65 and older.
▪️ VEHICLE FEES: Cox promises to reduce registration charges to levels comparable with neighboring states and eliminate emissions testing requirements.
▪️ GAS AND PAYROLL TAXES: Cox proposes suspending Maryland’s gasoline tax and the family-leave payroll contribution scheduled for January 2027.
▪️ GOVERNMENT SPENDING: Cox promises a 90-day review of state contracts, spending and potential waste while pursuing lower borrowing and fiscal restraint.
These are campaign proposals, not enacted changes. Implementing them would require legal and budgetary decisions, and Cox has not established a complete financing plan.
The accountability question is whether direct bill relief, lower fees and spending reductions can be delivered without creating additional budget shortfalls.
How much would Maryland households actually save, and which spending reductions would pay for those promises?

Doctors be like here, I'm going to put you on Plaquenil for your Lupus inflammation but it's gonna cause headaches, so I'll prescribe you topamax to prevent you from having headaches. The topamax can cause nervousness and anxiety, so here's a prescription for klonopin. It's gonna make you tired all the time, there's nothing I can do about that. Good luck!
I’m out only regret not doing it five years ago
