Indians think Ravan has more "aura" precisely because of perceived image of Lord Ram as depicted in Ramanand Sagar's as silent, peace lover, innocent who display only one emotion of "Kindness". Valmiki Ramayana's Ram is more than that, he's badass & has more Aura than Ravan.
