Dearborn attorney Jeremey Romer said allowing Hassan Aoun on the ballot would "hollow out the city's authority" to have local laws on qualifications for candidates. He said Aoun, who has 3 felony convictions, was "properly disqualified." Dearborn bars felons from elected office.
