Last week, OCPA had the honor of participating in "Encuentro FL 2026: 10 Years. One Journey. Endless Impact.” We were proud to join community leaders, elected officials and more in celebrating a decade of advocacy, collaboration, and impact to strengthen our communities.

Amy Mercado joined Community Legal Services on WFTV’s Law Talk, alongside Seminole County Property Appraiser David Johnson, to break down property taxes, homestead, and other exemptions that can offer financial relief for our community. 📺 Episode airs soon!

A widow or widower may file for a corresponding exemption if they are a permanent Florida resident as of January 1 of the tax year the exemption is being claimed in, and if they own property in Orange County. Learn more at ocpafl.org.
