For 2 years @SenRonLatz has been the barrier between low-income Minnesotans being able to access housing vouchers - leaving federal money on the table and MN's unhoused. I'm angry at the short-sided, unethical and fiscal irresponsibility of it all, and I want change. #mnleg

We did it! Historic $1B investment in housing heads to the Governor for his signature! There are no words sufficient to describe my gratitude to my Senate partner @Lindsey_Port and our amazing housing advocates who relentlessly pushed for a solution as big as the problem. #mnleg
INCREDIBLE work everyone!
Huge thank you to chairs @Lindsey_Port & @mikehowardmn for making this historic investment housing possible!

Good summary of our historic housing bill:
👨👩👦 innovative housing vouchers to stabilize families/blunt children’s homelessness
🔨 massive influx in resources to build new homes
🏡 new pathways to homeownership for first generation buyers

The #mnleg approved a $1B housing bill this week that is headed to Gov. Tim Walz's desk. The deal falls short of some DFL legislators' and advocates' early spending goals, but many called it an important step toward meeting Minnesota's dire housing needs. startribune.com/rent-aid-hom…

Other countries don’t experience gun violence at a rate anywhere close to what we are forced to endure.
This is not freedom. We are being held hostage by the gun industry and the lawmakers who cower to it.

I've had the honor of helping lead a coalition of incredible people who have put forward a bill for a state Basic Income Program. We are THRILLED that Representative Hollins is our chief author in the House. Excited for next steps!

The U.S. used generations of Native children as the tip of the spear in attacking tribal sovereignty. Will we learn from our past? Or—while we are still recovering the bodies of previous gens of Native children—betray the next?
