New research suggests that building positive emotional experiences may complement traditional approaches to depression and anxiety. It’s a reminder that mental health is not only about reducing distress, but also about strengthening well-being. medscape.com/viewarticle/tar…

Not every opportunity that looks good on paper is necessarily right for you. When you're facing a big decision, whether it's about your career, relationships, or the direction of your life, pay attention to three feelings: excitement, fear, and deadness. Here's what I recommend looking for: 80% excitement 20% fear 0% deadness, or as close to it as possible. Fear isn't necessarily a reason to say no. Some of the best decisions you'll make will come with a little fear. But that feeling of deadness, even when everything seems right on paper, is something you shouldn't ignore.

You can be authentic and hardworking and still struggle to find your footing if you’re in the wrong environment. -A fun person trapped in the wrong city. -A loving partner in a relationship that won’t reciprocate. -A great entrepreneur stuck in the wrong business. Think about your placement as much as your performance. Plant yourself where you can thrive.

There is a particular kind of discomfort that comes with being in the middle of a change. You may have outgrown a role, a relationship, a way of thinking, or a version of yourself that once made sense. Welcome to the messy middle. anatsamid.com/blog-mentalhea…

Today is a good opportunity to check in with yourself. Not to criticize what needs changing, but to notice what’s working, what feels out of alignment, and what deserves more of your attention. #Mindfulness #EmotionalIntelligence #PersonalGrowth #MentalWellbeing

The way we speak to ourselves and others matters. A little more curiosity, a little less judgment, & a willingness to understand before reacting can change the tone of an entire interaction. Emotional intelligence begins with awareness - and the choice to respond with intention.

And for those of us who have lost someone we love, it isn’t easy to watch the world keep moving when some people’s lives simply stopped. But at the same time, keep looking forward. Give yourself permission to LIVE.
THREE YEARS. Three years since the moment my life changed forever. Even now, it feels so unreal that sometimes I still can’t fully comprehend that I was kidnapped and taken to Gaza. Sometimes it feels like it was all just a nightmare I somehow woke up from. But at the same time, the pain is always here. It never really leaves, and sometimes, it only gets stronger. This year, when I went to visit the graves of my friends, I felt like it had somehow become even harder. Maybe because the hostages are finally home. Maybe because I’m no longer part of that fight. Or maybe because everyone else has already graduated, moved to Tel Aviv, and started their careers. And you remain there, like a memory from another life. A life that was innocent, young, and happy. A group of friends simply enjoying life, dreaming big, with no idea how quickly everything could change. I miss you every single day. With every step I take, on every path I choose, I find myself wondering what it would be like if you were still here beside me. As more time passes, I realize that soon, more time will have passed since we lost you than the amount of time I actually had the chance to know you. And that is something I still can’t accept. To me, you are always with me. And for those of us who have lost someone we love, it isn’t easy to watch the world keep moving when some people’s lives simply stopped. It isn’t easy to live with the guilt of being the ones who are still here. But we have to keep going, because that is what they would have wanted for us. We have to learn to live alongside the pain. Embrace it. Forgive it. Understand it. But at the same time, keep looking forward. Give yourself permission to LIVE.

Three years since our lives changed forever. Three years since Hamas terrorists brutally murdered and kidnapped our brothers and sisters. Three years, but we will never forget. Remember October 7, 2023. 🕯️
