Hi @bcherny can you bring back the “open/view PR” button in CC mobile app? I loved the one-click access the an agent’s work. Now it seems we need to manually create PRs?

Amazon can't deliver anything to my house in less than 6 days right now? That must be a bug or else their holiday deliveries are getting swamped.

I really wish @Intuit hadn't killed @mint. I migrated to Credit Karma and it's a dead end. None of the value I was getting out of mint. In the market for a new personal finance tracker. I tried @RocketMoneyApp which looks great but they can't sync with @Fidelity so it's a no-go

I'm trying out Monarch, thanks for the link @zacksteven. Looks great so far, I love the household members capability. Their data providers seem pretty extensive too, supporting @mX and Finicity with a fallback to @Plaid

This perspective is just really misguided. A pro athlete will thank all the support staff that made a victory possible. Maybe we should be doing the same.

Crypto will be a b2b ecosystem, normal people will never directly use blockchains.
What’s your unpopular crypto opinion?

Hotter take: ML would have advanced faster if another front-end language had been available and widely adopted instead of Python. One that is interactive yet fast & compilable, multithreaded (no GIL), isn't bloated, doesn't care about white spaces,... E.g. Julia or some Lisp.
Hot take: Machine Learning would not have been nearly as advanced now were it not for Python. Python’s two main virtues in the context of ML: 1. Lowering barriers to entry. 2. As a scripting language, it encourages and enables experimental workflow.

I read through the contract prior to mint and noticed these touches. Well done, it’s appreciated!
0/ The @cockpunch reveal is going down soon. To render us unable to manipulate the randomised assignment of attributes and make the process as transparent as possible we took several precautions. 👇

I think it’s noteworthy how SBF was quick to comment on the wallet tumbling last September, he was very aware of the transfers & provided reasons for doing so. Yet, over the last few weeks he’s pleaded ignorance over FTX positions and transfers. The two versions don’t marry.

While it's nice to know this problem can be solved analytically, I'd prefer to use an optimizer to allow for measurement noise. I made a sample code to showing how to do this in Python: github.com/andrewaarestad/gr…
Reminder: If you check your Turkey’s temp at two points while it bakes, then Newton’s Law of Cooling can tell you what time your turkey will reach 165°. Here’s a pic from 2013 when my math grad school friends and I did the calculation. It predicted 6:30 and was almost perfect.

My take on the tech debt discussion is that working on marketing-driven timelines is where tech debt comes from. There are three levels of completion:

Making a team work through the weekend to deliver a new feature can only fall into one of these camps

As a manager it’s on you to understand the level your team is building at.
