As a SpaceX shareholder, I don’t want the company I’m invested in to potentially be the subjects of a lawsuit because its product was used to kill people.
That’s why I don’t invest in gun companies.
Complaining about AI because it’s being used to find security flaws is like blaming the doctor because they found you have cancer.
Maybe stop writing shitty code.
So here's the truth:
1. If rent goes up when taxes go up, then they also go down when taxes go down
2. No new home-buyer in Florida who is a resident has to wait 5 years to get the exemption. That simply isn't true.
3. Using property tax money for police and fire becomes mandatory before any other spending
4. Government is directed to look at how it can be achieved over time and present a time-plan.
5. Future voters have the same possibility to make changes as current voters. That's called democracy.
Amendment 3 isn't a tax cut. It's a $12 billion tax shift.
Cutting property taxes for some homeowners doesn't make the cost of roads, deputies and firefighters go away. Someone still has to pay billions a year. Under Amendment 3, it's renters, young families, small businesses and new buyers, who are the people who never got the tax cut.
The Tax Foundation's new analysis shows who pays:
🔴 Renters. They get no tax cut. A third of Floridians rent, and nearly half do in Miami-Dade. When landlords' taxes go up, research shows half or more gets passed on in rent.
🔴 Young families and first-time buyers. Picture two identical houses on the same street. One owner gets a $250,000 exemption. The other bought in 2027 and gets $50,000 for five years. That gap can easily mean $2,000 or more a year, for the same house and the same services.
🔴 Police, fire and EMS. They get zero guaranteed funding. Rural counties like Bradford, Dixie, Lafayette and Union are already at the constitutional tax limit, so they can't raise rates. They'll have to cut services or add fees.
🔴 Everyone, eventually. The $12 billion figure doesn't include the Legislature's new power to exempt homesteads entirely. State economists say that cost can't even be estimated.
🔴 Future voters. This goes into the constitution, so fixing the damage will take another statewide campaign.
Homeowners, even if you'd save, the money comes back around. You'll see it in new fees and special assessments, higher prices from local businesses, and fewer deputies and firefighters when you need them.
Yes, local government spending deserves serious scrutiny. But reducing property taxes doesn't automatically reduce government spending. Without corresponding spending cuts, the costs may simply shift to renters, young families, and small businesses through higher taxes, fees, and assessments.
This isn't tax relief. It's a tax shift.

It's not saying much for the WSJ that their tax policy guy can only come up with raising taxes as a way to extend a Ponzi scheme.
Since several have asked, raising the SocSec payroll tax rate to 17% from 12.4% would fill the 75-year shortfall and prevent insolvency.
It would also be the kind of middle-income tax increase that neither party favors.

If you got to invest your Social Security yourself you’d be a millionaire when you retired.
Instead they give you $24,000 a year and you have to listen to Millennials complain that they’re supporting you and your greedy.
Amazon should just start using USPS for deliveries in New York. About a week of that and people will shut up real quick.
🇺🇸 Mamdani and the Teamsters are PUSHING a bill FORCING Amazon to hire its own delivery drivers in New York.
At City Hall, he joined Teamsters President Sean O’Brien and Amazon workers to back the Delivery Protection Act, which would ban subcontractors for last-mile deliveries.
Supporters say it ensures accountability for safety and working conditions, while opponents warn of higher costs and lost jobs in the 5 boroughs.
Amazon keeps its logo on the vans while shifting liability elsewhere. The bill aims to close that gap, but the costs and job risks are real.

Now do the 9 Billion missing in Minnesota
Mr. Trump - if you’re looking for fraud, I’ll help you find it.
As Florida’s Attorney General, Ashley Moody stole $10 million meant for sick kids and spent it on a partisan political slush fund.
You can start there.

Everyone wants people to invest their own money - and then when you’re given a method to make that happen - it's crickets.

I have long said that Social Security is a SCAM as it is about five years from going bankrupt. Most politicians are too scared to talk about it…but I’ve never been afraid of speaking the truth. If the government allowed people to invest the money they are forced to pay into Social Security in the stock market instead, they’d have 10x the returns.
Forcing student loan repayments or garnishing wages will be deflationary as people are forced to cut back on discretionary spending.
So maybe it’s a good thing.
We should have a referendum on the 2028 presidential ballot:
Do you support a wealth tax of 5%.
The catch: People who vote Yes have to pay it.
If you agree - repost:
(1) The current system unfairly burdens the young. That’s unfair.
(2) People who’ve paid in for their whole lives should not just be short-changed. That’s also unfair.
The real issue with Social Security isn't "Boomer Luxury Communism". It's that 6.2% of your paycheck is taken every month.
If you really care about the younger generation you should focus on a way to stop that, and not virtue signal by claiming that some people don't need the money.
ALL THE YOUNG PEOPLE GETTING 6.2% TAKEN FROM THEIR PAYCHECK NEED THEIR MONEY.
If you're on the fence about Amendments 3, this is how the cost of government in Broward County grows when they can just send you a bigger bill every year.
Amendment 3 in Florida won't defund the Police, Fire or essential services. It will be the start of putting an end to all the bullshit.
