🚨José Mourinho on Inter Milan’s incredible comeback against Udinese: 🗣️ José Mourinho: “For me, Serie A is the most tactical league. You can have the best team, the best players, the best plan and after 21 minutes, the game can tell you that your plan is not good enough. Look at Inter against Udinese. Twenty-one minutes and they are already 2-0 down. Inter! A team with quality everywhere, a team expected to control the match. Suddenly, Udinese make them suffer and the whole game changes. But what Inter did next was impressive. Before the end of the first half, they had turned the game around and made it 2-2. Then they came out after the break and showed their quality, eventually winning 5-3. That is Serie A. A match can change completely in just a few minutes. You can be in control, then suddenly you are chasing the game. You can be 2-0 down, but if you stay calm and understand the spaces, you can come back. And then you look at the table and Roma are leading. Roma! That tells you something. It means the league is not waiting for the usual names to take control. In England, sometimes you know what you will get from certain teams. In Italy, you can prepare perfectly for a match and still discover something you didn’t expect. The tactical level is very high because coaches are constantly changing the shape of the game. One team controls the space, another controls the ball, another waits for one mistake. You think you have solved the problem and then the opponent changes one position and suddenly you have a new problem. That is why I love it. In Serie A, you cannot simply say, ‘We are the better team, so we will win.’ No. You must prove it for 90 minutes. Inter were 2-0 down after 21 minutes, drew level before half-time and then won 5-3. That is not just a comeback. That is a demonstration of mentality, quality and tactical intelligence. This is not chaos. This is tactical football. And maybe that is what makes Serie A so beautiful again.”
